Zero Noise Leak, great bass, good sound and built like a tank
I received them on Friday. What a remarkable purchase. A bit of Background: Owning/ed: Fidelio X1, Sennheiser 598SE, Sennheiser RS170, Sennheiser 280Pro Sources: iMac, Home Amp and a Galaxy s7 All my cans but th eRS170 were open cans, that's a "no no" for office environment. I like to listen to my music a little bit loud. Perfect excuse to get a new pair :) First things I noticed when I got the box: *small! they are smaller than expected. *Solid built and heavy *Nice cable, it does not tangle, also made of cord/lace style *Earpads are smallish, looking for XL pads at the moment but v-moda makes you pay premium for delivery in EU *They come with a case, a very nice one to be fair, very compact and sturdy. Now sound: *Bass is very extreme *mids are muddy out of the box but a bit od equalizing sorts it fully *highs are a small bit recessed but I'm actually happy about that as it makes them a bit more clear *Stage: Surprising for the size of the cans *Loud? Yes, loads. I cannot emphasize that enough *Isolation/Insulation: In my personal opinion, spectacular, I can put them nearly at 75% volume without a leak. Obviously, I hear absolutely nothing from the office noise I am so used to. Comfort: Far from very comfortable, being used to the Fidelio x1, these are not as good, they clamp to my (big) head to the point of feeling a little bit squashed. I would say they are ok for up to 2 or 3 hours if you head is as big as mine (58cm) Now, I have small ears, yet the earpads are fair. So, if you have big ears, look for the bigger pads in v-moda's site and pay a premium for delivery. All in all, I love the sound, they are loud, bassy and noise leak free. Paid £77 pounds for them, at that price is hard not to click the buy button. At last I can feel in peace with my own music at work.

I got home and quickly unwrapped them to find a nice solid box
So I picked up my V-Moda today from the local Amazon locker. My manager at work complemented the 'fancy box'. I got home and quickly unwrapped them to find a nice solid box, a couple of cables and a 1/4" adaptor. Whether you believe headphones need burn in or not. I write this review after wearing them for only 20 mins, this is because I was so eager to share my thoughts. I'll bullet point them to make it easier to follow. 1) I have a massive head, like....a big head. The V-Moda's still fit me, only just. But either way they fit, so that's good. 2) They hit harder than a full speed freight train, never before have I heard a bass drop like this. Well done V-Moda. 3) They are bassy, but they also do a great job with mid's and high's. The bass on these is phenomenal, but it's genuine bass, I'm sure some of you know what I mean when I say 'Fake bass'. They also have a really good spacial sound, things are controlled but I get the feeling of immersion. 4) Buy them 5) Buy them now 6) Why are you still here reading this when you could be buying these. In short, if you're someone who likes bass heavy music, rock, house, DnB sounds amazing! Then don't hesitate and get these. Can't really fault V-moda on these. Great overall product and I'd definitely recommend them to a friend. Experience: I am an avid Hi-Fi and Audio enthusiast, I previously worked for a top UK audio brand.

Top end sound that doesn't disappoint - but at a price.
I was delighted to be offered a set of these V-Moda LP2's from Vine as I had actually purchased my son a set of the very same headphones only a few weeks earlier. The arrive in superbly premium packaging and are presented in a black rubberised carry case, best described as (but not) a Batman mask. Their high end construction is evident as soon as you handle them; they ooze quality. You are supplied with changeable metal plates that cover each of the headphone cups. The come fitted with black plates and you get a set of silvery/gun metal which can be fitted. It's a bit of a fiddle to change the plates as you have to undo six screws on each side (minute screws - so keep something to put them in as you do it). A small screw driver is supplied to do the job. Other, different coloured metal plate are also available to purchase from Amazon. The cable supplied only operates track skip/backward functions on your device - it does NOT include an inline microphone. You will need to purchase a separate lead if you need one. So, to the sound test. I use a playlist that I have compiled on Spotify that is a mix of different genres I have compiled to put headphones through a test. I also use an app call Power Amp, playing music at 320kbps via a Topping NX2 portable mini amp. This combination delivers a powerful blast of sound to the headphones to see if the can handle it. The LP2's certainly didn't disappoint. Everything about them was supreme. The sound stage was wonderfully deep, bass was tangible and moving with a good solid punch. Vocals were crisp and well defined, everything about the sound was spot on. Having purchased a set a few weeks earlier gave me the opportunity to compare the brand new set, with a set that had 'bedded in' and there was a definite difference. The purchased set sounded that little bit warmer and more refined, so that was confirmation for me that headphones do improve over their first few week of use. A big plus for me is that you are able to purchase replacement ear cushions for the headset. I own a pair of Bose QC25's and have need to replace the ear cushion twice in three years - they simply were out over time and use, and eventually they will split open and the inner foam becomes visible. Without the ability to replace the ear cushions, you are left with a good set of headphones you can't use. Overall, these headphones justify their high end price tag based purely on their sound. Add the high quality construction, the superb carry case and you've got your moneys worth. Highly recommended.

Wonderfully engineered and truly awesome performance. Well done V-Moda
These headphones come shipped in a very attractive box that is securely sealed. Upon cutting the ribbon that securely seals the box, you find a shaped exoskeleton hard zipper case that contains the headphones & supplied accessories. It appears quite small. Once unzipped, you can see the full contents of the pack: 1 headset 2 Audio cables (1 standard male to male lead / 1 microphone cable) 1 Gold Plated full size adapter 1 spare set of shields in gunmetal finish 1 cleaning cloth 1 V-Moda sticker The exoskeleton hard case is very nice and offers excellent protection of the headphones. There are elasticated retaining straps inside this case to secure your cables and other accessories safely inside. The headphones themselves are very easy to adjust to the size of your head. The memory foam ear pads are very comfortable in use (I wore them from around 90 minutes during this test and there were absolutely no issues at all. The audio cable is unusual. It is corded, unlike most rubberised/plastic cables. I have to say that it felt easier to manoeuvre than the stiffer rubber leads on my Sennheiser headset so I'm pleased with that. For the test, I plugged the headphones into my Galaxy S7 phone, my laptop, my desktop PC, and my HiFi system (using the included gold plated full size adapter) I played a wide range of music ranging from classical to heavy rock. In use there is little sound leakage from the headset. Only in the higher volume range could anyone else in the room hear what I was playing. Conversely, while I was using this headset, I could not hear any outside sounds or interference. Very good in this department. Sound quality is absolutely superb. As mentioned earlier, I also have a set of headphones from another famous brand - which were more expensive. These V-Moda Crossfade LP2's are even better. Bass response is stunning on the heavier music. Not falsely represented but clear, crisp and precise. Mid range is clear after a little adjustment from the graphic equaliser. Treble is pin sharp. Fast passages of a string orchestra made my hair stand on end it was so clear. All in all I have been blown away with the all round quality of the V-Moda Crossfade LP2 Headphones. The build quality ranks amongst the best I've ever had (and I've had sets in excess of £200 in the past) These feel far more expensive than they actually are. Sound quality is sublime. I have never heard music sound so good through headphones. Well done V-Moda & Val Kolton. You have a great product here. An absolute pleasure to review them so thank you for the opportunity.

Give them a time to settle and you'll be happy
I've got pair of these on promotion and paid 68 pounds or so. Well this is incredible value or money. At the beginning I hated them. Sound out o the box is terrible and totally unacceptable. You need to give them a time to settle. I left mine for about 48 hours of continuing playing music and after that the sound was way too better. Built quality is top notch plus you have a carry case included. I think this is a great outdoor pair of headphones and will play easily from your smartphone or ipod, do not require any additional DAC,the impedance is very low.

Vmoda crossfade lp2
Ordered these headphones and received the next day (Amazon prime) Packaging for the headphones was good you have to cut a ribbon to get into the box (oh fancy) The headphones where placed in a lovely good quality carry case Which included 1. Mic 1 button speakeasy cable 2. Universal audio cable 3. 1/4 gold plated audio jack 4. Gunmetal replacement shields 5. Carry case clip The headphones I would say have a really good build quality and I would expect them to last a good amount of time and take a lot of battering On first listen I would say the headphones are bass heavy but that's what they are known for. These are defo a good purchase especially for the price I got them for.

V-MODA Best Portable Bass Heads
I love the sound signature of these headphones, I wanted portable bass headphones that would match perfectly when paired with the Subpac, Subpac S2 Subwoofer I listen to Dubstep, Grime, Rock & Classical & these have become my new favourite pair amongst others. After buying these I will definitely consider buying V-Moda again. Would love to compare them to the M100s V-Moda Crossfade M-100 Over-Ear Noise-Isolating Metal Headphones - Matte Black Superb build quality , everything from the packaging with leatherette carrier to cutting the ribbon seal, it comes with a quality robust rubber coated case to store them, along with a couple high quality V-Moda signature cables one with microphone and an extra set of Shields in Gun Metal. Custom versions of the shields can be bought direct from V-Moda but at a price. I have large ears & the memory foam ears pads just fit right, you can however buy larger pads for them so customised options are great , Highly rated.

Not worth the price.
First pair the audio cable twisted its self into a knot after a week or two and is almost impossible to straighten out then a crack appeared in the plastic head phone cup so i talked to amazon and they sent me a replacement. The second pair had the same issue with the cable where it tangles its self up into knots and a couple of months later the the audio suddenly went crackly. They're kinda cheap feeling the only metal is on the headband and the plate. The braided cable is awful quality that tangles its self and the jack on the headphones is inset into a hole so its a pain to find something to replace it. The cushioning that comes by default is way to shallow and the extra large ones you can get are not much better. Also Honestly if you want a decent pair of head phones look elsewhere.
