Mavala Mavaderma Nourishing Oil 5Ml

I researched and read a lot of reviews/forums about nail products for weak/splitting nails and Mavala kept coming up. The price was comparable to, if not cheaper than, other products that I had considered, so I gave it a try. As a lifelong nail biter this is the only product that has helped me past the breaking and splitting phase that happens whenever my nails get any length. I used it in conjunction with Mavala Scientifique once I they were longer and my nails resisted splitting fantastically. You can see from the photo that all of the nails are around the same length and growing nicely. You can also see the size of the nail tip and how the years of nail biting has shortened my nail bed. Without these two products I feel I would have been stuck wearing extensions forever. I had tried other brands and products and always been disappointed in the past. The one thing that I would say is that you need to use it consistently, otherwise you just won't get the best results. A few minutes each day is all it takes.

Nail oil with pleasant but not overpowering scent which seems to work. I have terrible trouble with my nails peeling from the edges and then needing filed right back down. They catch on clothes and it's really annoying. Have tried lots of things and lots of oils. This is the best so far. I'm sure if I could sit at home and massage it in every day and not work for a living my nails would be gorgeous (LOL) but that's not the world I live in! Still does a reasonable job with once or twice a week and then covering with a base coat.

Due to illness I have very weak nails which break easily and appear dry and flaky. I started using this oil some time ago, and it really has helped. My cuticles are softened and no longer ragged. My nails are in much better condition, and do not break as easily as before. I also use the Mavala scientific nail hardener which is just applied to the tips of the nails. I find both these products excellent. Although they may seem a little expensive at first glance, actually they are very economical in use as you only need a tiny amount for each application, so they last for ages. Well worth a try if you have problem nails, or just to keep your nails in great condition.

Its seems expensive but I thought I'd try it as have been told the make is good. After using it 3 times I could see the difference in my very dry nails now starting to look a bit shinier and now after 8 days they look more like nails should be therefore well impressed and would buy this make again.

Bought this along with there nail hardener to sort out my damaged nails from acrylics. Wouldn't say this has done anything special for my nails that the usual 2/3quid cuticle oils can do... Smells nice and soaks in well not sure if I was maybe just expecting too much from this product

This oil is a funny one, comes in a little bottle with a brush to apply, just like nail varnish. No real odour from it and no greasy residue either which is good on both counts. The oil is clear and by the time I applied it to one hand then massaged it in, it had vanished. No oily residue and the nails that had been very dry (think using a dark varnish with sparkles in it did not help along with the cold weather) were not half as dry or peeling. Not saying that in just one go it has solved the problem, but with no strong smell, no oil residue left behind so nails could be painted straight away am pleased to keep on using it every time I paint my nails. It does say that it should be massaged into the nail base each day, if not using polish no problem but if like myself you do have polish on then using when doing a manicure seems like a good idea and one which I will do. Now I have tried various other makes but this one seems better than the S Hansen one I have used beforehand, slightly more expensive as not as easy to get on offer as not many shops stock the Mavala range.

Nulla fu più utile a mia madre per la cura delle unghie. A prescindere dalle cuticole, è un olietto che nutre tutta l'unghia e che se costasse meno lo userei sempre.

Conoscendo Mavala mi aspettavo un prodotto un po' "speciale", ma quando e' arrivato ho letto gli ingredienti sulla confezione e sono rimasta delusa: gli attivi sono tre oli efficaci ma quasi banali, nell'ordine Olio di Germe di Grano (Triticum Vulgare Wheat Germ Oil), Olio di Mandorle dolci (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil), e Olio di Oliva (Olea Europea Fruit Oil), oltre a emollienti e aromi vari. Questi oli si trovano in commercio a costi per ml/ molto piu' contenuti e io li uso da tempo per i mix fai-da-te. Sarebbe opportuno pubblicare sempre la composizione di un prodotto in vendita, e in questo caso non c'era. Purtroppo per problemi tecnici non riesco a postare la foto che ho fatto alla confezione.
