Amazing!!!!!
I hate mowing the lawn and at this time of this time of year I am usually more miserable because it needs to be done twice a week - ugh! Our lawns are uneven, peppered with manhole covers and stepping stones and the front lawn in particular is like the north face of the Eiger. The old mower is the only one I have ever owned and was of the hovering variety and mowing both front and back lawns used to take the best part of an hour, I would be dripping with sweat after the ordeal and the noise would induce a slight ringing in my ears for hours afterwards. The cut was always uneven and there was always loads of grass blown onto the path and patio and loads left on the lawn which would be constantly be tracked into the house for days afterwards!!! This Bosch mower was like a breath of fresh air! It took ten minutes to assemble although this would have definitely been easier with two people. In use it is definitely quieter than the one it replaces, it makes light work of both lawns and I literally need to walk it up and down the lawn, it is super easy to push and manoeuvre rather than the inane short backwards and forwards motion over the same section of lawn necessary with the old one, it leaves hardly any clippings behind either on the lawn or blown onto the paths even when the grass is damp and clumpy, the cut is always even and the stripes are wonderful! The best bit of all is both lawns now take less than 20 minutes and I don't break a sweat. I no longer mind or dread mowing the lawn these days - could not be happier!!!!

Very good but flimsy collection box and very heavy
Firstly this is a very good lawn mower. Far better than my previous Flymo. This does not scalp the lawn and it cuts very well (I suppose with a new blade it should). I like the height adjuster handle, which is far easier to use than my previous one. It's powerful and also reasonably quiet. Now the downsides. Its not easy to assemble. The grass box is poorly constructed, being flimsy and doest fit together well. When you empty the grass box lots of grass just falls out. No storage for the cord (it looks great being held in place with garden wire) the cord is a bit too short and finally it's heavy. I know it's advertised at 11 kg but lightweight it isn't. Overall the negatives outweigh the positives as it does do its only job of cutting the grass very well (although it doesn't stripe my lawn like it's supposed to with the roller at the back)

Good product, good price.
I got this for £70 when Amazon were price matching B&Q. Firstly when you assembly the lawnmower, 2 of the wheels are hidden in the grass bin. Don't tighten the screws too tight and its easy enough. I got it together in about 125 minutes with just me, no extra tools required. Note, when you put the grass bin on the back you have to lift up the spring loaded flap and place it underneath. My grass was about 2 weeks overdue a cut as I didn't want to use my hover mower again. The Bosch, although it struggled slightly on the very high thick grass managed a good cut with just one pass. It does a good job cutting right to the edge and collects ALL of the grass. Normal after cutting the grass I am covered in the stuff, with this there was no grass on mer at all. As it has wheels cutting the grass was effortless in comparison with my hover mower and I can't recommend it enough. The only down side it that when I received it one of the handles had not been painted fully on one side and seemed to have rusted a bit. This wasn't enough to bother me as it just lives in a shed and won't affect performance but does suggest that their Quality Assurance or build process isn't the best. Overall though I'm very happy for the price paid!

It did a great job considering the grass was so long and therefore ...
Bosch 36 R Lawn Mower I received this Mower well before the stated date. It was not too difficult to put together. The most difficult part was releasing the grass box to get to the rear wheels. Once put together I set the cutter to the highest cut (as I had not mowed the lawn for about 7 months). It did a great job considering the grass was so long and therefore damp. It has saved me so much time than using my hover mower, thanks Bosch. The height adjustment was very easy to use. The mower is quite well made and seems robust, and easy to use, however, it is a little difficult to turn around on a small lawn (it may be easier once the grass is shorter). The grass box is a little flimsy and needs to have one hand on the inside to support it when closing/opening the clips. The machine is very quiet, which is a good thing. Too many nooks and crannies, makes it a long cleaning job. The instructions are ok but they could do with some explanations, page 15 example 8 is not very easy to distinguish the images, they all look the same, except for the grass box. They remind me of the pictures you get where you have to look for the difference between two identical ones. Overall, this is a very good mower, especially at this price. Having now used this mower for several months I find it easier to go forward then backward, instead of trying to turn around.

Lighter, quieter and cuts better
I finally replaced a Flymo (roller not hover) mower that had served me well for 20 years! That was a 37cm cut and so I was going down in size a bit. This one is definitely better in that it is much quieter than the old one and does not scalp the lawn. It is also lighter. Height adjustment is easy. While the other one had a roller you do get those lines on your lawn if you go up and down forwards). Only negatives are that the instructions are not great. In effect the handle needs to the attached which hinges at the point it attaches to the mower and also hinges mid way up the handle. Each can be loosened and unhinged separately for moving it and storing it. Assembly is a bit trial and error to connect the lower bolts correctly and to make sure you don't misroute the cable when you do the middle bolts. Undoing and doing up the bolts is a bit fiddly. If you want to fold the thing up then you need to unlock the middle bolts or both the middle and lower bolts and then bolt back up before use and this process is again a bit fiddly. So I tend to leave it in usable position when stored which means it takes up more space. Other negative is that the grass collector is in two parts and does not lock together very well. Seems well enough to work but feels a bit flimsy. But the rest of the mower feels well built. I can't comment personally but it does seem the 34cm is a better bet than the smaller one (32cm) which seems to be of a different (poorer) design as the things that people complain of about that do not apply to the 34cm version. I was originally going to get the smaller model as I thought the difference of another 2cm in going up in price to the 34cm was not worth it. But based on other reviews then I am glad I did.

Good value lawn mower which works well with an uneven lawn
My first lawn mower which was needed for a particularly uneven lawn. I decided to go for Bosch as it's a well known mark plus Bosch offered an extended 3 year warranty. I can't say I've been disappointed. I find it relatively quiet and it handles well the uneven ground. It's not failed me after 10 months and can be folded away into a relatively compact unit, though I wouldn't say it's the easiest to fold and store in it's most compact form. One recommendation I'd give is when building, don't tighten too much the quick releases on either side. They're plastic and probably not that strong. Also don't expect bullet proof build quality. The main unit is well built but components around it are not of the highest quality. For example, the grass collector is made of pretty think plastic. But so are all it's competitors and we're talking a £100 mower. The grass collector could hold more but then I realised how foolish the idea was of collecting the grass and therefore the nutrients which I'd then have to spend money on fertiliser to replace and not just leave the grass cuttings to go back where they came from. If you regularly and maybe go over them a second time, the cuttings will be hardly noticeable and disappear quickly. In conclusion, for the price, I'd most definitely recommend especially if you don't have that perfectly flat lawn like mine.

decent, but the wheels are abysmal
I got this in the Amazon lightning sales for £70, so I shouldn't complain too much. (I'm going to though) As a lawnmower it's passable, it seems to make the grass shorter. Beyond that it's fairly cheap and plastic feeling, especially the wheels which are awful, hollow things with no internal side. There are no bearings for the wheels (just plastic on plastic), so they stick a lot and the mower gets harder to push. This also means the lawnmower tends not to go in a straight line, since it's just skidding about. The folding handles are incredibly disappointing, it's a faff to do, and once loosened the whole thing just sort of collapses. It's also relying on captive nuts inside a plastic handle (the red knobs you can see halfway down the handle), and from new they feel right on the edge of stripping the plastic and just spinning. I've given up on folding it up now, it's light enough that I can just heft it into a cap and make it fit. The plastic grass basket is really flimsy. I think it's supposed to be split back into two halves for storage, but it was a pain to get it lined up I've left it as is. Since I'm not folding the handle anymore it's easy enough to just lob it on top. The basket seems to hold a really small amount of grass, though I'm lazy and don' cut mine often enough. On the plus side: the side cutting skirt things work really nicely and cut the width of the wheels, so it's easy to line the mower up from one strip to the next. As I mentioned before the mower is nice and light (bearing in mind I'm a beefcake adonis) even when full of grass. This comes in useful when the horrible wheels skid all over the place and you can just force the mower along the line you want. Maybe I have unreasonable expectations, but at a selling price today of £110 I would want a lot more than I got. I got it cheap, so I'll live with it.
