Coleman C300/C500 Performance Screw On Gas Cartridge, for Camping Stoves, Compact and Resealable Canister

I purchased two of these C500 canisters firstly because they were actually cheaper than the C300 canisters but also, it had been a while since I last used these canisters and couldn't remember how long they would last. For a three day camping trip I was cautious and bought two but didn't require the second. I used the canister in total for around about 2.5 hours on a medium flow which was enough to boil water and keep it there. When I weighed the canister after getting home, it weighed 457 grams. I then weighed the untouched second canister and it weighed 626 grams. This product listing says that you get around 440 grams of gas and the total weight including the canister is 598 grams. So assuming the canister weight is 158 grams (598-440), and if my calculations are correct, a full canister should give you around 6.5 hours of continuous use. Now aside from the mathematics of it, I found the canister very simple to use and i'm very prone to cross threading things but not even I could muck this one up! The canister was also self-sealing (I think). When I took the camping stove attachment off, there was no hissing or smell coming from the canister so I assumed that it was perfectly okay to take it off and put it back on for storage and carriage. The bottom of the canister was perfectly flat so there was no stability issues with using it on the ground. Overall, this is by far the best price that I could find a canister of this kind as most places now sell the aerosol type gas but I say, stick to what you know. If I had looked into this with more time I would have bought the 6 pack which means that it works out at £3.30 per C500 canister which is great value if you camp regularly. Highly recommended.

Works efficiently on most camping stoves. Very high quality gas with a very secure seal on the can to improve the safety. Would definitely recommend for any uses outdoors.

Wasn't sure if it would fit but it does, has some good pressure in it to great for what I need it for, value for money, I like the weight knowing that it won't fall over, I will be saving the seller to buy more from, thank you seller...

Happy with my purchase

Ordered the C500 which at the time was much better value for money, I think this changes depending on how many are being sold, it is massive and won't fit in most side pockets which is where I would preferably like to have it, hasn't run out of gas yet though and have made many brews with it so happy with it so far other than the size but that's just personal preference as I do backpacking. People doing family camps may be much happier with it not having to lug it around.

J'ai utilisé cette cartouche lors de mon dernier week-end en camping, et elle a parfaitement fonctionné. Le mélange butane/propane assure une combustion constante, même par temps frais. La cartouche est facile à visser et à dévisser, et je me suis senti en sécurité grâce à la valve à double sécurité. Je recommande vivement ce produit aux amateurs de plein air.

Ich habe mir dieses Produkt aufgrund der vorhandenen Rezensionen gekauft und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Ich habe damit einen Camping Kühlschrank auf diversen Festivals betrieben. Die Umgebungsfaktoren waren dabei von 15Grad bis 38Grad Schattentemperatur . Also ein breites Spektrum wo der Kühlschrank zeigen musste, was er drauf hat. Das Anstecken bzw Eindrehen der Gaskartuschen geht kinderleicht und bildet einen sicheren Verschluss. Ein großer Vorteil gegenüber Steckkartuschen, wo man sich nie sicher sein kann, ob sie auch richtig montiert sind. Zudem kann man diese Ventilgaskartusche mehrfach verwenden und nach Gebrauch einfach wieder rausdrehen zum sicheren Transport. Ich bin absolut begeistert von dem Produkt und kann sie nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Im Frühjahr folgt dann auch der Test bei Minusgraden in Schweden und ich bin gespannt, wie sich die Kartusche dort schlägt.

Tengo dos hornillos inox para Coleman desde hace años y el uso no les ha afectado para nada (ahora no los hay iguales y de esa calidad) y siempre he empleado cartuchos de la misma marca con gran desempeño. Habitualmente utilizo otros cartuchos de menos tamaño, según el uso que voy a darles. En esta ocasión he escogido los de 500 cc3 para uso intensivo y estancias de 3/4 semanas. No quiero quedarme sin gas donde es imposible encontrar estos cartuchos. Su precio es razonable y su utilización asimismo racional permite alargar la duración. Advierto de que son incompatibles con los hornillos de Camping Gaz.
