La Riche Directions Semi-Permanent Hair Color 88ml Tubs - Silver

Usual directions quality. Stuck really well to my sons natural dark blond hair, started to fade to an greeny blue after a few washes, but we weren't being careful as it needed to be out for school anyway. It was just the perfect shade of dark blue he was after! It's lasted longer than expected 😅 just be aware it bleeds a little before the first couple of washes - it came off on the ivory leather seats in my car 😳 (rubbing alcohol fixed that fortunately when the leather cleaner didn't touch it) and when he sweated on his mtb a bit came off on his forehead.

I used to use Directions when I was a teenager and (many years) later decided to go back to my fun, bright hair. I thought dyes would have came on a lot by now, so tried a variety of different brands... and in the end have came back to the old reliable Directions pots. They haven't changed much, and still give me great, vibrant colour. I would say that these are genuine and are the same as those that I used to buy in an alternative clothing shop. How long the 4 pots last varies from person to person- I have quite long hair, and 2 pots is plenty for a full application- i buy a 4 pack and this usually lasts me 6 weeks (I top up at about 3 weeks, but this is optional, and is only because I like to keep the vibrant red shade and I do wash my hair quite often) So I tend to buy a new pack every 6 weeks or so. Still a bargain at this price compared with other dyes I was using. I use the poppy red on top of bleached blonde (no conditioner in between) and I love the deep colour that it turns out. It also fades to a nice pink as opposed to orange shades that are so common with red colourings. I would say that using this on natural hair colour probably won't work simply because it isn't porous. Any time I do a top up dye, I notice that the colour washes off of my natural root straight away, no matter how long it has been in for. As this is basically just a pigmented conditioner you can leave it in as long as you like. I usually apply mine and wrap in clingfilm and leave it on for hours while I'm cleaning. I usually also condition my hair after dying because it can still feel brittle due to the bleach. The colour is not colourfast- but anyone using semi permanent dye should know this already. It runs all over your shower/ grouting/ towels/ white t-shirts and bedding. Eventually it stops transferring onto the bedding, but this is usually when you are due a top up. (I find it easiest to buy all black bedding) Don't worry though- it all comes out in the wash- this is a particular relief when you tell hotel staff when you are checking out... *Tips* - Dye on top of a hard/ tiled floor- it can splash/ drop off. - The colour lasts with care- try not to wash as often (dry shampoo is your friend) and use cooler water when washing. - - - Also use shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair to prolong the results. - Spray bleach will clear this from the grouting on the shower too.

absolutely obsessed with this brand i don't think I would ever use another brand. The first two pictures are before and after using the alpine green, following the instructions exactly. the third picture is a few months later, id recoloured once or twice in between and hadn't recoloured for a while before taking that picture. always remember to wash with colour shampoo, cold water and you'll colour will be awesome, coming from a hairdresser.

Always used this die is always goods and lasts long

I ordered the spring green dye and though it arrived leaking out of the package, it only leaked slightly and still had plenty of dye in it. The first two photos (white shirt and the up close under a light photo) were when it was freshly dyed. I added it to freshly bleached hair (I bleached to a light blonde for best results) and left it on for about an hour just to try and get as much colour in as possible. I've washed my hair twice (not including washing the dye out) with a non colour safe shampoo as that's all I have and so far it's still looking great. I've even had gel in my hair for 6 out of the 8 days I've had it dyed and the colour is still vibrant and looking good. The last two photos are today after washing it and putting in gel. I was expecting it to begin fading by now due to the fact it is semi permanent and I've not really done anything to maintain it but I'm pleasently surprised. Since it's semi permanent I do expect it to fade within 2-4 weeks but luckily I've got over half a pot left over from my initial dying and the leakage in transit so I'm happy to top it up when needed! Overall, I'm really happy with it and will definitely be using directions again. The only issue was the fact that it leaked in transit and ended up staining my hands where it was bleeding out of the packaging as the driver handed it to me. I think that a seal on the inside would've been better than just the screw on lid but oh well. Still, I'm pleased with my colour and happy that it was true to the colour advertised as well. Update: it's been dyed for over 3 weeks now with multiple washes and gel applications and the colour is still just as vibrant as the day I dyed it! Going strong!

Came in a new packaging looks smaller however I naught the Ebony shade (black) however it turned my roots a greenish colour and stained everything blue !! Iv had to really scrub to remove colour from hands neck and face !! I want to return the 3 others and will not be using this again

Silver I really love this stuff it conditions while it colors, clean up is easy. But sadly I think my hair is resistant to it because it did not take despite the very light hair I have. It sure left my hair silky soft smiles

La couleur rend super bien. Sur les conseils d'une amie, j'ai mélangé avec un peu de masque nutritif et les cheveux sont ressortis tout doux. Par contre ça dégorge beaucoup et la couleur perd de sa vigueur si on se baigne souvent, ce qui est mon cas, puisque je vis en Martinique ;-)

Super couleur plusieurs fois que je les rachètent je fais un dégradé avec un violet et je Mélanie les deux ça donne un effet cool

8 years using this colour it is amazing not harsh on hair takes a while to come but its from uk and im in canada wait is worth it

Packaging cuidado, todo en perfecto estado. El embalaje para su envio suficiente. He usado por mucho tiempo estas coloraciones semipermanentes y aparte de su facil aplicacion, la variedad de colores es increible. Si bien por ponerle una pega, la ultima vez que me di este tono, Poppy red, recuerdo que me duró algunos dias mas el tono exacto. Siempre llevo la base del mismo color y esta vez, aun saturando bien de producto el pelo, muchos de ellos escupieron el color antes de lo habitual. Por lo demas, durante una semana mantengo exactamente el tono que quiero, luego el aclarado deja un tono que tambien queda bonito, aunque no sea el color aplicado.
