When we first bought this it worked great and happily mixed materials in a range from 10 - 1200cps. We never mix more than 300ml at a time. Over a five month period (perhaps 20 hours of total use) the performance simply dropped off. We tried different stirring bars but came to the conclusion that it was the Mixer. Camlabs support was terrible - We are still waiting for them to call / email us back. After 8 calls we did manage to speak to "Luke" who thought that the issue was the viscosity of what we had mixed (which in the early days it did fine), he said we had broken it. He said he would check and get back to us (we are still waiting) In the Meanwhile Amazon came to the rescue and have refunded the money and the unit has gone back. It struggles to now stir water, there were no warnings with it with regards maximum viscosity / quantity. Would we buy another - NO

Excellent unit for taking my home chemistry shenanigans and element collecting to the next level. Really easy to set up and change, and we quick to heat up.

Unfortunately the machine arrived faulty, might just have been unlucky. The temperature control or speed control did not work. The power on/off button worked intermittently. I noted the machine is made in China and not directly by Camlab. Visually the machine looks and feels robust and aesthetically pleasing but my machine did not work, thus returned.
