Nice quality, nice and warm, good length and size. Not really anything bad to say weight and thickness is good.

I absolutely love this all-weather jacket from Amazon Essentials! The fit, comfort, and style all speak to a quality made product without all the extra fuss of a designer name, nor the extra price either. The breast zippered pocket is perfect for a normal sized cellphone (sorry, haven't tried to uber large phablets yet) and allows easy access while out and about. The two side pockets are the perfect depth and positioning for your hands or a set of keys without worry that they may fall out. They are also zippered, in case you want to ensure what's in your pockets, stays in your pockets. The fabric is similar to, but much lighter than, the neoprene like material that is used in wet suits. It is very comfortable, does not get stuffy, and appears to keep a light rain off just fine. Zipped up it also keeps the cold away enough in a light breeze, but probably isn't ideal for winter wear. Overall, for a product made for Amazon directly, I am very impressed with the quality and design of this lightweight, water-resistant jacket. If you are in the market for a stylish, affordable jacket, then you need look no further.

Quality was better than expected. It has a nice slim fit that is very hard to find now days. Sadly the arms were significantly too short. I wish they offered a tall version. Would absolutely buy again if they did.

As a lifelong member of the “I’d rather not” outdoor club, I bought this jacket thinking it would be another sad layer between me and Mother Nature’s mood swings. I was wrong. This Amazon Essentials Softshell Jacket turned me into a reluctant adventurer. I now walk the dog with swagger. I pump gas like I’m in a spy movie. I even stood in the rain just to flex on the clouds. The fit? Like it was tailored by someone who understands that men’s bodies come in “dad bod” and “aspiring lumberjack.” The water resistance? I spilled coffee on myself and it rolled off like my responsibilities on a weekend. Windproof? I wore it on a blustery day and felt like I was wrapped in a hug from a weather-savvy bear. It’s lightweight but warm, stylish but not trying too hard, and priced like Amazon accidentally forgot to add a zero. If this jacket were a person, I’d invite it to my wedding. Buy it. Wear it. Become the outdoor legend you were never planning to be.

Super good looking, exactly what I was hoping for. Great quality. Great price. It's a snug cut, so keep that in mind when choosing size.

I'd say 3.5 if I could. For $35 - this jacket is surprisingly good. The fit worked well for me and I was surprised by the overall feel of the jacket - I would've expected to pay more for what I received. Why 3 stars? The zippers on the side pockets are susceptible to coming off the tracks at the bottom of the pocket - so if you have your hands in the pockets, the zippers can pop off one of the tracks and leave you unable to zip your pocket at all until you fix them. Of course, the jacket will still keep you warm (and so will the pockets) - but the zipper problem has frustrated me quite a bit and left me regretting my purchase. It feels like a silly place for this jacket to fall flat considering everything it does right. Will everyone feel that way? Probably not, so it you don't think you would don't let my review deter you. It just happens to bug me!
