When I took the car to 'experts' the C310+ allowed me a useful insight into my car's issues which they (the experts) didn't fully detect 1st..2nd or 3rd...time round! Hmm. Recently in very cold weather, my car displayed an engine management light. After a bit of quick research on the various bimmer forums around the issues (7 Series 2002 with electronics that become baulky in low temperatures), I used the C310+ to diagnose and reset the offending system. The engine management light has not reappeared yet. This has saved me hard cash and considerable inconvenience taking the car to the garage for what is very likely a minor glitch.Sure, there is not much the casual motorist can do in the way of hands-on repairs to their car, but the C310+ provides a very reasonable idea of where the faults might be.So, don't think to hard about purchasing this item. I am glad I did and it has proved itself incredibly useful.KB ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not desperately poor, but then not too great either. *by S***T on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 June 2017* Tool was reasonable quality and well presented in its case. However, it was let down badly by poorly translated inadequate instruction leaflet. Linking it with my pc showed little similarity to the written instructions. After an hour or two messing around getting nowhere, I decided the best idea was to try it on the car. It did eventually correctly diagnose the fault (speed sensor) and this was later confirmed by a BMW diagnosis.I am no mechanic and have nothing on which to base my expectations of the machine. It appears to work but is very convoluted in use. A well written, comprehensive and up-to-date user manual which refers to latest pc operating systems would have transformed this tool, as would a website with a helpline email address. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Could be better *by I***H on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 February 2018* I've got a Mini R50 and BMW E46. It's good, if a bit laborious, at reading fault codes.
