true penlight
Well made all-metal robust penlight. "Professional look". Operating by pushing a knob on the back end with a finger. Perfect to inspect tiny dark spots and to be stored like a roller pen. Plastic cover on the power knob can be used to limit the light beam on the bulb end as well. I can recommend this. Still on first battery. Arrived fast in the original packaging.

Very robust.
This is my second one, the first was dissabled by a leaking cell after 12 years of daily use. Very strong construction, has withstood drops etc with no problems and the batteries last for years, this was the reason they leaked, should have checked them yearly! Excellent light output, very even spread. Tip.. if the press button gets a little intermittent, unscrew the end cap and lightly abrade the end of the brass sleeve at the end of the main tube, it tarnishes over time, and thats it. Well recomended torch.

A light and easily carried AAAAbatteryp
A great torch. Using Ni MH! The alkaline batteries do leak! Push on/off or screw fully the back for continous light. The plastic cover for the bulb great.

The Classic Pen Light. Probably the best!
Have had one of these for over 15 years. My go to pocket torch. To check brake pad wear though wheels or look at items quickly. They have never been the most reliable tending to give up after a few years and the battery’s are a fad. But I haven’t found anything better in day to day operation. Literally the size of a pen and mega bright. However this model seem to be better constructed with a much better switch cap design so hopefully the old reliability issue are now a thing of the past. Top tip get rechargeable AAAA battery’s available from amazon and makes the torch Almost free to use after the first 2 cycles.

i have used a led light like this for several years im sure there are a lot of uses it small enougph to keep in a pocket or cliped on your shirt ect. i get the most use from mine when im checking out fire arms, they are great when looking for dust, rust spots and having it with the American flag just made it jump at me and say put me in your pocket, batteries are not an item you can just run to a store and buy aaaa i have never ran one down i think they adver, like 90 hours warrenty cant be better if you dont mess it up and it just goes bad send it back they repair or replace.

After buying the Stylus, I now own four Streamlights, the others being the Stylus pro, Micro Stream and Nano. All have worked flawlessly since I've had them and I use them quite a bit. I also like Fenix lights, but based on my experience the Streamlights are a bit more reliable. This is an excellent penlight to have in the car, or at your desk or in the toolbox. It's perfect for tight spaces, yet bright enough for general use. It's small and thin enough to hold in your mouth if you're working on something and need both hands free (for example fixing the plumbing under the sink). The tailcap button is for momentary-on and you twist the tailcap for constant on. The beam has a nice wide dispersion. The LED is exposed, however it doesn't seem fragile, like a light bulb. It comes with a black plastic cap with a hole in the end, which can be used to protect the LED or to act as a beam narrower. Either way, I probably won't use it since it reduces brightness and I'd end up losing it anyway. If you don't need a light this thin, also consider the Streamlight Pro, which is thicker but also an inch shorter and slightly heavier than this one. I'm glad I have both, but if I could only have one, I'd keep the Stylus Pro which is significantly brighter and uses 2 AA's. My only suggestion for improvement would be to shorten it so it uses 2 batteries instead of three, which would make it a more convenient size. It doesn't seem as bright as it should be for using 3 cells, and they could probably achieve the same brightness or close, with 2 cells (albeit at the cost of a little battery life).
