Brilliant Boots
I bought these boots as a bit of compromise, as I needed work boots but also something I could wear whilst riding my bike backwards and forward to work (and not have to worry about carrying another set of footwear, which is a real pain). The boots arrives pretty quickly, and actually fitted, (you cannot believe how difficult it can be to get a size 12 that REALLY IS a size 12), so far so good......They are light weight, INSTANTLY broken in and comfy and seem to be a reasonable build quality and the laces are long enough to go to the moon and back, they also have the added bonus of keeping the kitten entertained for hours EVERY TIME I put them on or take them off.If there is a negative, and I am being ultra picky, then I could say that they are perhaps a little too warm for summer wear, but then perhaps I should have bought a SUMMER BOOT. These will without doubt be brilliant in winter (tread/grip is good).....When these die, I WILL buy another pair, especially at these prices.I have had Caterpillar, DeWalt, Scruffs, DM's etc etc....these are without doubt the best I have had so far in the price range.

Comfort
I've had these boots around a month now and they fit very well are very light weight for their size and extremely comfortable .These boots are great if you have to wear steel toe caps and have to walk long distances I usually walk between 15-30 kilometres a day . My old site style boots gave me blisters so I bought these and my blisters are gone . If you are doing site work I would not recommend as they are soft leather and I don't think they will hold up but if you are doing alot of walking for example security work or my job park keeper they will be perfect.

Durable, Comfy, Kick Ass!
These boots, like all Magnum boots, felt good straight away without having to be "broken into". Although originally they were difficult to take on and off, they get a lot easier every day. I first had the zip version of this boot but the zip broke about 3 months in, these boots though I could see lasting for a lot longer. They add significant height to you which I personally like because it makes me feel like a rockstar! The protection is very good and my feet have never gotten wet while wearing them, also as you can see there's quite a lot of ventilation because of the fabric, as opposed to boots which are fully leather and you have sweaty feet. If you work in a warehouse like me you have to be reasonable as to how long they will last, don't expect them to last forever if you work in a hazardous environments for long periods of time, especially for this price. I will definitely recommend these to others and buy more when I need to.

Hard
So I walk around 60 miles a week at work and as I wore my last Dr Martin's out in just under five months I was in the market for something that would last a bit longer.Pro'sLight. Real light. So light I had to check just to make sure that they're steel toe capped.Seem well made. I've walked nearly 200 miles in them so far and there is little sign of wear and tear. The sole gives a good grip on a variety of surfaces. The leather is thick enough to take the odd scrape without becoming shredded like some budget brands. They sit high up on the leg which gives an amazingly large amount of ankle support yet they don't restrict movement. Very little leg fatigue after being in these all day.No need to break these in. No weeks of hobbling around until they become comfy. On they went and off I went with no issues.I was a bit worried about looking like G.I. Joe wearing them but once on they just look like regular boots.ConsJust one but it's a big one. The insole. There really isn't one! It's very thin (2mm if lucky) and gives little to no support or cushioning. The sole is fairly solid so walk on a solid sole with little cushioning for a few hours and see how comfy you are. Aldi's own work boots come with a better insole than this. In fact I've never bought a work boot with a worse insole. I thought Magnum was a premium brand? So whatever the price of these boots add £10 on for a decent pair of insoles as some other reviewers have had to do or heel strike and arch support will become a problem.Would I buy again? I'll tell you in five monthsUpdate. Five months later -Hardly any sign of serious wear. The toes have taken the odd scrape and cut but with a quick polish they are fine,Sole has worn but far better than any other boot I've bought and they look good for at least another 4 months. Not very breathable. It gets a bit sweaty down there but I would highly recommend these as a work boot.Spoke to soon. Six and a half months later and they have died. The lining has basically perished and the metal strip in the sole has come out through the inside. Not bad. They have covered roughly 1600 miles. There is still life left in the sole and the uppers are still in very good order.

Superb
Absolutely superb pair of boots. I bought these for my part time job as a school caretaker, needing steel toecaps and good weather protection.Beware that the 'meshy' parts on the sides will probably let it water,I have dolloped and rubbed in a generous amount of dubbin there. The fit is generous I think so for me-a size 9 and a half really- the size 10 had ample room around the toes. The boots are high quality and well made-on placing them on and walking about, comfort is evident instantly with a stout hold and comfy sole. They lace up quite high up on the shin so give lots of ankle protection.Highly recommended, and having bought Magnums before I am confident that these will be as good.

Good pair of steelies for work
Good pair of steelies for work, you get what you pay for I guess, done all the usual screwfix offer boots, from the cheapest to the most expensive, finally I tried these, I found them a bit large but the insoles are a bit weedy so I replaced them with a decent pair, now they fit well. I have found them comfortable, flexible and almost on a par with the boots I was issued in the Army, although that was a long time ago. I think they were about 55 quid, I've been wearing them for a month or so, without any issues, and given their quality I would expect them to last for a good year of abuse!
