Dr. Boonidigga & The Big BW

Love this album! Someone , well my son, recommended them to me and I will be buying more. It's cool, its funk , its reggae it's a little bit of jazz. And catchy as hell.

This album, WOW!! Definitely more upbeat than the first album and took me two listens to fully get into it, but once I did there was no going back. The techno and R&B influence on this take over on tracks like "Shiverman" and "Big BW". There are also some mellow moments in "Boondigga" and the finale "Breakthrough", one of my favourite FFD tracks so far!

Best album ever!!! Shiver man is awesome!!!!!

Love fat freddys drop music for my soul

Quite good if a bit aimless at times but then FFD are an ideal laid back groove most of the time. The melding of Dixieland Trad Jazz and modern dub is a good achievement too. I bought this CD because they were due to appear at WOMAD 2009, a previous track 'Hope' had been included on one of Charlie Gillett's compilations and that, together with this CD, made them the most anticipated band in the line-up. And then a week before the festival FFD disappeared from the running order. 17 Hippies almost made up for the disappointment but I remain eager to catch this lot live.

Awesome band. If you buy one album, buy this. Then you’ll buy all the others. I did.

Just about the best New Zealand export.

Great album from FFD with The Raft being my favourite. MP3 download was quick without any issues at all. Wish I had the CD though just in case the PC fails.

bon groupe, bonne musique from New Zealand ! c'est ma fille qui m'a fait découvrir. en plus le son est bon.

I learned of this band last summer while I was listening to Time Warner Cables Music Choice channel Sounds of the Season. It was summer so they were playing trip hop, chill wave, ambient, and other cool "summer nights" music. Then "Flashback" by Fat Freddys Drop came on. I was instantly hooked. I never got into music with horns much, but I really liked Fat Freddys Drop, especially this album. Theres something really "chill and mellow" to how the band sounds and with the keyboards and slower tempo beats it sounds amazing. In my opinion, this is their BEST album and I now have all of them.

Un disco superlativo...con questo li ho quasi tutti ..mancano solo gli EP. Registrazione perfetta disco perfetto...ottima resa sonora.. Il Dr Boondigga e il Big BW è il secondo album in studio del gruppo neozelandese Fat Freddy's Drop , uscito il 2 giugno 2009 su The Drop . L'album è diventato un album numero uno in Nuova Zelanda nella sua prima settimana di rilascio ed è stato certificato Platinum in quattro giorni. Da allora è stato certificato 2x Platinum.
