Best baby product ever
This thingy saved my sanity. Baby hated drying & changing after bath...as well as being in the car. The amount of times I pressed the music button! As soon as he heard the music and saw the lights (from about 6 weeks) he would stop screaming and stare in awe. When he was a few months old he loved to hold onto it while the music played. Things I love about this: - it's cheap. If your baby never falls in love with it, you haven't paid the price of a 90 quid Jumperoo. (PS if you think baby doesn't like it, give it to him the next day. And the next. You never know.) - it's small. You can shove it in your bag if you're going somewhere. Also means a 3 month old can wave it around and he won't be knocked out if it falls on his face! - handle means you can clip it onto things. I clipped it onto an elastic buggy toy string for the carseat and it still never ceases to amuse him! - durable. Baby (now 9mo) has chucked it onto floor heaps and this thing just won't break. - pretty nice music, for a baby toy. It plays classical tunes rather than the typical ding-a-ling nursery rhymes that personally drive me around the bend. - it has lights as well as music.

So good we're buying it again!
This is a great toy. We got it for our daughter when she was three months old, and she still loves it at 13 months. She likes watching the flashing lights, and now she is older, dancing to the music. I have had to give it four stars because we are having to buy it for the second time after the music has stopped working ten months after purchase. The lights still flash and it isn't the batteries, but she misses the music. That said, it has been dropped many times onto our laminate floor, so it is quite hard-wearing, but I would have liked it to last a bit longer. The only other thing is that my daughter finds the button quite hard to press. She worked out at three or four months old that you had to press the button to make it work, but she only presses it enough for it to click, and not enough for it to play. You have to press it quite hard for that, and centrally - the fact that the button is divided into quarters is a bit misleading. If you try to press just one of the quarters, it doesn't work. You must press it centrally. As a result, she is constantly bringing it to us so that we can press the button. This could just be our daughter though - other babies may well be able to press it themselves from an early age. Otherwise, it is a fab toy. Edited to update - the replacement we ordered had a button that was much easier to press than the previous one - our daughter could press it straight away and we found it much easier to press as well, so the first one must have been faulty. As a result I would now give this product 5 stars. Our daughter is now 2 and still really enjoys this product - we are struggling to get it off her to let our 5-month-old play with it! Highly recommended.

A Perfect First Toy. Calming and Engaging.
I bought this Baby Einstein star when my daughter was 5 weeks old, I chose it for the fact it will play music when knocked without the need to press any buttons. I attached it to her play gym and she loved kicking it with her feet, a great toy for introducing the idea of cause and effect. The star is sturdy and good quality, the face is made from a soft plastic and the points from a silky fabric. On the reverse there is both a hanging loop and a strap that closes with velcro, although we have found that the velcro is not very strong and is easy for an older baby to pull off. There are 2 different volume levels neither is super loud so it doesn't become annoying. The music has a gentle and pleasant sound and there are 2 different modes that are easily changed with a switch. The first is motion activated, which is the one we mostly use. In this setting once the star is tapped or shaken a 10 second snippet of one of the tunes will play. In the second mode the music plays continuously by itself and each of the melodies is longer. Whilst the music plays there are 3 lights on the face of the star that flash in time to the music. The main issue we have had with this toy is that the paint is starting to chip off of the face, even though it hasn't had any particularly rough play. I also think it would have improved the toy if the stars points were made of different textures of fabrics to add more sensory interest. My daughter is now nearly 3 but we kept hold of this toy and are using it again with our second child. To begin with we hung it on his bouncy chair arch where him kicking his legs would rock the chair enough to activate the motion activated music. Now that he is a bit older we put it next to him when on his play mat or in tummy time and he likes to whack it with his arms (see video) Overall an engaging and soothing toy for a young baby. It would make an excellent first toy or baby shower gift. It is still well loved even by my daughter, who likes to carry it around with her when her brother's not playing with it. Highly recommend.

Our son’s favourite, music, lights, and smiles
From the moment we handed it to our son, it became his absolute favourite. The music is cheerful and varied enough to keep him engaged, and the lights are bright but soothing, perfect for little eyes. This Baby Einstein toy was an instant hit in our home! It’s lightweight, easy for tiny hands to hold, and surprisingly durable (it’s survived more than a few enthusiastic tosses!), and fantastic battery life. The volume is just right, not too loud, not too quiet, and the tunes are actually pleasant to listen to, even on repeat. We are keeping it for our second baby (future plans).

I recently purchased the Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes Musical Toy for my 3-month-old baby and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed! Not only is this toy visually appealing with its bright colors and adorable design, but it is also incredibly entertaining for my little one. As soon as I turned on the music, my baby's face lit up with pure joy and excitement. The tunes are catchy and fun, and the volume is just loud enough to grab her attention without being overwhelming. Plus, the music selection is diverse enough to keep both baby and parent entertained. What's even better is that this toy is designed to be portable and easy to take on the go. It's the perfect size for small hands to grasp, and the attached handle makes it easy to clip onto a diaper bag or stroller. It's been a lifesaver on car rides and trips to the grocery store - my baby is easily distracted by the music and is content for long periods of time. But the best part about this toy? It's just downright funny. I never thought I'd find myself laughing at a musical toy for babies, but the look on my baby's face when she's holding it and dancing along to the music is just too hilarious. And watching her attempt to sing along with the melodies is priceless. Overall, I highly recommend the Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes Musical Toy for any parent with a young baby. It's entertaining, portable, and best of all - funny! This toy gets a 5 out of 5 stars from me. The Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes Musical Toy is a popular toy for babies aged 3 months and up.
