The push down action action is too stiff to use repeatedly, and without any buttons you can't do much with it. After about 30 minutes, I found myself ignoring it for all but scrolling in a web browser. What's worse, the top came loose, and a new Dell PC at work could not wake up the Powermate when plugged into most of its USB ports.The Powermate has its uses, and may prove very desirable as a novelty controller, but the Contour Design ShuttleXpress Controller USB Mac/PC Black is a much better idea. With five buttons and two jog/shuttle dials, it's far more practical as it can operate a whole range of shortcuts for you. The configuration software is better, and it has been perfectly reliable in operation. The Shuttle Xpress is much better value, and a genuinely useful device. ### ⭐ Seriously flawed *by C***C on 4 December 2008* The sensitivity control does nothing, the Help button on the control panel ditto. No reply to an email to Griffin customer support.Buy a different product. I should have spent a bit more and bought the ShuttlePro 2.
