Review: Its a winner - So far so good. My granddaughter was afraid to try bikes with training wheels. I got her this balance bike and she was apprehensive at first but VERY quickly is seeming to find out how to balance and keep the bike upright. We don't have the pedals on yet, so I may revise the review then, but so far she is doing great and is actually begging to go out and keep trying. Most importantly she is now having fun learning to ride. Overall the bike is easy to assemble and quality seems to be great. The seat has a nice handle on back for adults to help hold it steady if need be. It also has two cable brakes which is nice. So far, I'm impressed. Granddaughter has a 24" inseam and this bike is large enough to fit.

The pegs sticking out are a little obnoxious when the pedals aren't on, but my son worked around them when he was learning to ride this with no pedals. It's so easy to put the pedals on and the bike is great quality. Super durable for a very rough and tough kid. He's now four and rides this thing with pedals like a champ. The water bottle was the first to go. It was a fun accessory that lasted about 2 hours and wasn't really necessary. Overall great value, great look and function.

**Q: What is the maximum speed?**
A: Fixed gear.  1 speed

**Q: Does the coaster model come with the hand brake? Thank you**
A: Yes, we got the coaster model because it had both back pedal breaks and hand break.

**Q: Does the 18-inch come with training wheels?**
A: No, in fact you do NOT need training wheel on the EZ bike any more. This EZ bike allows kids to ride as a balance bike first to gain confidence, and transform into a pedal bike in a blink of an eye. If the kid have ever experienced on a balance bike, it will take less than 30 minutes to master biking with a EZ bike, no training wheels needed.

**Q: What is the difference between freewheel vs coaster brake?**
A: The main difference is the brake type of the rear wheel. 
A freewheel bike allows the pedals to be pushed in either direction, although only forward pedaling propels the bike. This type of bike makes it easier to learn to ride, because as the rider loses balance she can backpedal to regain it. Handbrakes are easier to use than coaster brake and can speed up the learning process for beginners. 
A bike with coaster brake can only be pedaled forward, while pedal backward will brake the rear wheel. The coaster brake also limits the backwards movement of your pedals.

So far so good. My granddaughter was afraid to try bikes with training wheels. I got her this balance bike and she was apprehensive at first but VERY quickly is seeming to find out how to balance and keep the bike upright. We don't have the pedals on yet, so I may revise the review then, but so far she is doing great and is actually begging to go out and keep trying. Most importantly she is now having fun learning to ride. Overall the bike is easy to assemble and quality seems to be great. The seat has a nice handle on back for adults to help hold it steady if need be. It also has two cable brakes which is nice. So far, I'm impressed. Granddaughter has a 24" inseam and this bike is large enough to fit.
