A Game Changer
Let me start by saying, I RARELY write reviews. I've been working with and listening to vinyl records since the 1970s. I've tried it all for cleaning. Nothing beats a professional expensive cleaning machine, but this one is a close second. I have tried/had access to different cleaning methods (my current setup, before this machine, was: a seperate Ultrasonic Cleaner, a Spin-Clean, hand cleaning with a custom solution and a small computer vac). This one does it all but better. With my audiophile turntable, I have a 2M Ortofon Bronze cartridge which picks up EVERYTHING. It's a fantastic stylus for sound stage, but the dust it picks up is unbelievable. (You have to frequently clean it). If there is dust in the grooves, it will turn your stylus into a dust vacuum where you can't play the other side without a stylus cleaning. (Imagine your dryer's lint filter) That being said...using this machine it really gets most of the of gunk out. I have tried a few records that I put through my normal cleaning regimen...some will Snap, Crackle and Pop! Using this machine (I followed the directions...using a cleaning solution of my choice and distilled water), It really helps! Most of my records are already fairly clean, and this gets them much better. I had a few tracks that just wouldn't play right...after 2 deep cleaning cycles with the HumminGuru, they are actually playable. You can't fix a damaged vinyl, but HumminGuru does remarkable about cleaning deep groove junk. I find I can actually play 2 sides of a vinyl record, without using my stylus cleaning brush. That's a first for me!!! That's how good this machine works. If people are complaining about the cleaning, they are expecting a miracle fix for bad vinyl records...just follow the instructions and your records will be clean, dry and you can walk away while it works. Noise: 7/10. My old ultrasonic cleaner was WAY louder. To me, the loudest is when it empties the tank. Ease of Use: 10/10. Very easy and simple to use, fill up the water tank, put a few drops of cleaning liquid, choose your time (regular or double) and let it do the work. Directions: 10/10. I'm surprised at how detail oriented they were. Speed: 9/10. Very fast. I clean on setting 2 of Auto Deep Cleaning, takes 5 minutes to wash and It only needs 5 min of drying (using the switch on level 1 of drying mode). Price: 6/10. I think it's a bit pricey since it costs to ship to the US. However, you get what you pay for and at $499 when I purchased it, it's will save you money in the long run on your cleaning time. A few hints: 1- Be careful when pouring the water into the basin...that lid can come off and make a mess, I wish it was a little more secure. 2- Clean your tank and the water basin frequently. 3- You can easily clean 10+ records with one tank of water & solution before swapping out the water. Just pay attention to how cloudy it gets (bubbles are normal and will be filtered out). 4- If I am cleaning bad records or need to really use a strong solution, it would be helpful to have 2 tanks (one for cleaning and one for rinsing). 5- MOST important, make sure you gently tap on the top of the vinyl record when it's in the machine so that it will turn properly. You want to make sure it's rotating. Always check this. You won't be disappointed in the unit. I've cleaned over 50 vinyls with it before writing this review.

Works incredibly well and is such a time saver
I waited to pull the trigger on this for a good while because it was pretty expensive. When the new version came out this one came down in price and I pulled the trigger. I honestly am blown away by well this thing works. Not sure how much better the newer version is but not sure how much better I need than this one. I’ve already cleaned a few hundred records in the first two months I’ve owned it and it makes cleaning records a breeze. I was cleaning records by hand and it was very time-consuming and I always felt like I was just pushing the dirt and dust into the grooves. I was using the groove washer G2 formula which seemed to be pretty good but I actually noticed a buildup on my needle from time to time so I’m guessing whatever was on the surface got pushed in further. Ever since switching over to this ultrasonic cleaner my needle is also clean after each spin. New or clean records just need the short cycle but I have a lot of old 12 inch singles from the 90s and early 2000s that all looks like the sample I posted here. Just completely coated in dust. I literally took it out of the sleep and dropped it in to the bath that also includes three drops of the ultrasonic vinyl record cleaning agent also by Humminguru. I would 100% recommend adding that. A little goes a long way. It takes 2 to 3 drops per tank. If your records are fairly clean you can clean up to 20 records before you have to swap out the solution but if they’re dirty like the one in this example You should probably swap it out every three records or so. You can literally look at the tank and if you see it it’s cloudy or dust floating around just dump it and make another quick batch. Super simple to do. Also, the drying cycle is awesome. It’s nothing more than filling up the tank, dropping in the Album, pushing the cycle button and letting it run. I’ve heard a couple people complain about it being loud and squeaky but who cares. It’s not that obnoxiously loud and it’s not like I’m running it eight hours a day.

It works great
I purchased this about six months ago and have used it to clean approximately 500 records so far. It works great and I have had zero issues. I combine this with a spin clean which I use first then use this for the final step. Ultrasonic really gets in the grooves and makes a noticeable difference. If you're on the fence about cleaning your vinyl, the biggest or most drastic difference I noticed was using the spin clean. If you buy one thing that's the most noticeable difference from just a brush. If you want to go the last 10% then get this Humminguru Nova. It can clean deeper and more thoroughly. It makes a high pitched squeal while using it (kind of like a subway car coming to a stop... But quieter) it's really nice that it also dries your vinyl as well. The only draw back is it's a little pricey although compared to a Degritter this isn't bad at all. Note: I have only used the Nova Humminguru and unsure how the other model works but I would guess similar other than that this one has a few more options in drying and cleaning and I think the fans are supposedly better on the Nova.

Great record cleaning machine at a very reasonable admission price
This is the most effective cleaning record method I have used. I started cleaning my records in the 1970s with the DiscWasher system and a Vac-O-Rec. I continued using these two until several years ago when I switched to the GrooveWasher. Although the GrooveWasher is good, I never could remove a lint-kind of debris on few of my records that would clog-up my stylus after a couple of minutes of playing. The records looked clean and pristine to the naked eye but would not play well. I cleaned these records with the HumminGuru and the records came out totally clean! No more debris on my stylus! I can hear some pops and clicks here and there but nothing like they were before. And this is with the worst of my records. My other records came out perfectly as well. The machine is easy to use, compact and well made, and most importantly, effective. Add the great price (as compared to top quality ultrasonic machines) and you have a winner.

Works well and looks good too;)

Easy to use ultrasonic record cleaner that does a great job on its automatic cycle. Surprisingly quiet too. The cleaning noticeably reduces pops and clicks. The set up instructions can be a bit cryptic so read these carefully on first use. A word of warning our dog is very scared of it on the ultrasonic cleaning cycle - we assume because of high frequency sounds we cannot hear.
