Bosch laser measure EasyDistance 20 (easy & precise measurement up to 20m, pocket size, one-button control, in E-Commerce cardboard box)

I’ve used a few laser distance meters before, but this one is honestly on another level. The build quality feels very solid and premium, and the measurements are extremely accurate — it even displays three decimal points, which is something my previous meters never had. The device has only one button, which makes it incredibly easy to use. You just point, click, and the reading appears instantly. No complicated menu, no unnecessary settings — exactly what you need when working quickly.

It is small; about as chesp as you are going to get for a name brand and easy to use. I wanted to see how useful a laser was actually going to be v a tape i'm glad i did. If you buy one you will use it. It makes measuring so much easier

Good easy to use, good accuracy on repeat readings. Found it difficult to see red dot (where laser hits target) over longer distances (12m plus) in daylight. Under darker conditions 20m was no problem. Very small - easily misplaced. Good value for money.

I ordered the Bosch Laser Measure EasyDistance 20 specifically to single handedly measure the precise locations of ceiling spotlights in my recording studio. I needed to do this in order for an acoustic panel supplier to pre-drill holes for the spotlights in some of the ceiling panels. I did try to make measurements with a tape measure but it proved to be virtually impossible on my own. The product arrived promptly and was very intuitive to use for my purposes which was to measure the distance from the centre of each spotlight to one front wall and one sidewall. Before I started I made a few test measurements against a tape measure which initially seemed to have a consistent over measure. I quickly realised that the length of the device is included in the measurement so that the test measurements were in fact very accurate. In use it is important to get the shortest distance straight line between the device and the wall on which it is pointed. That said it is probably easier to do that with this device than with a tape measure and in any event walls, floors and ceilings are rarely even so there is a limit to the accuracy of measurement either way. I made 2 measurements for each distance and found them to be very close such that I am confident that all my measurements will be accurate to a good tolerance. Overall the device proved ideal for the job and will be useful for further critical positioning of monitors.

This is a really good piece of kit. So far measurements have been accurate. A totally logical but useful thing to note - you can only measure between points that have a surface for the laser beam to land on. Great to measure wall to wall for example, but not great for measuring objects (e.g. furniture) without a bit of creative thought.
