The first order was sent back because the on/function switch didn't work. Amazon sent a next day replacement which is quite impressive. So far so good. With it switched to the on position, you blow on it to turn the light on or off. Very clever! It even flickers like a real flame. The 'flame' is just about bright enough to eat a cosy meal by, but only just. The coloured base is glass, but the upper see-through half is very light plastic. It looks very nice as a complete unit and is undoubtedly excellent value for money. It's too early to confirm battery charge life, but it's a few hours, at least. Just cross your fingers in the hope that your order will work as expected.

Not only was this smaller than I expected but it was very poor quality. The glass base was ok. But the rest was cheap plastic. Not only that it didn’t work. Having had it in charge fir the stated time when I came to switch it on it flickered once then went off. I cannot be bothered to send it back as it would mean packaging it and then posting it. I’m extremely disappointed with this purchase I would not recommend it to anyone.

Sadly not impressed with this item at all. I wanted a rechargeable light for my bedside as my electrics are a but squiffy in my room. This has never worked, fully charged it, tried all ways to get it to turn on after over a day charging, but still nothing. The switch to turn on and off is a small fiddly cheap slot button you find on string light battery boxes, which is not easy to find in the dark! The base is a nice shade of red glass, but that is all the good I can say about it. The rest is really cheap plastic and the top half of the lantern keep falling off. I have since bought a different rechargeable lamp that I am delighted with for the same/similar price - give this one a miss.

The only nice thing about this lamp is the glass base. The rest is cheap looking and it has never worked for me.I left it charging for the recommended 5-6 hours for the first time and nothing, although the light had been on to indicate it was charging. I then left it plugged in for a full day and it still won't turn on at all.

It's okay, don't expect it to be like a normal sized lamp. It's about six inches in height. I would say it's quite expensive for its size. But not a bad product.

It is good looking, and handy also useful. Though to my mind not as likeable as the original I got of here.

Cheap fun. No problem charging or in operation. Supplied with loose chimney that did engage at all with the base and required Supergluing in place, but easy to do. Blow switch feature is a gimmick, but why not?

Lovely, novelty lamps. I love them. Work well and bright. Blowing them out like candles is fun. Useful for us as we have frequent power failures
