I'm restoring a '38 truck and didn't want to spray paint my clamps as I found these to be cheap and painted nicely for me.

The hose clamps seem to have a durable pain coat on them, so if you want black, this is probably the best way to go. But if you are used to using a standard size nut driver like the rest of your hose clamps, then these will throw you off. 7mm is needed for the diameter that I bought, or a straight-blade screwdriver. I'm not a fan of using a screwdriver, since they're usually at a position that won't allow good enough access without slipping, and it's too slow. So add a metric nut driver to your arsenal of drill attachments if you want to use these. They also seem a bit thinner sheet metal than others that I generally use, but they seem to be holding fine.

Good price but paint does chip off. Had to touch up the scratches because they were chrome.

I needed hose clamps that were stainless steel and strong. I am extremely happy with the quality of these clamps and also the amount you get for the price. They are made very well, are strong, like the black finish and also are easy to tighten. I used a socket to tighten mine, but you can use a screwdriver also. I was able to put a lot of torque on these and they did not strip. You can unwind it if you need to wrap it around and then tighten, it starts back in easily.

Bought theses for air cleaner on bike,made a huge difference in look Would recommend, will be buying more to clean up the look on hear shields
