A fine tea
A very good quality tea. The water turns a lovely green colour and the smell and taste is fantastic. Tastes much fresher than the popular supermarket brand

Delicious
This is exactly what I used to drink in good sushi restaurants. Tastes absolutely delicious. You can actually taste the rice and the corn.

Not a strong roasted rice taste.
I’ve gotten the tea caddy because genmaicha is one of my favourite teas. The great taste award had me and I purchased it and it was very pleasant however, and this is a biggie for me, it tastes more like pure green tea than genmaicha. There were hardly any roasted rice pieces in there, even smelling the tea it didn’t have this wonderful roasted aroma. It’s okay. It wasn’t bad. But I was a little disappointed because we’ll lack of roasted flavour and the green tea leaves where do small and broken they went right through my tea strainer and into my cup. All in all, I’d personally love my genmaicha to taste more roasted, this one wasn’t bad or horrible just not what I expect from genmaicha yeah

This is NOT Genmaicha
This did not taste like Genmaicha at all. Very disappointed, especially as it is expensive and non-returnable. The water does not go that beautiful green colour you would expect, and that should have been the giveaway sign for me. I wouldn't have known any different, except that my last Genmaicha tea was purchased from Ocha Co and is the real deal. Place the two cups side by side and no one would choose to drink this. There is no way this tea is authentic Genmaicha. It tastes like some average plain green tea brand. The Japanese would be offended.
