Great stove top kettle
Great, does the job, light, handle folds and whistle is clear

Despite being lobbed over a neighbour's side passage gate by the delivery driver onto a concrete surface several metres away andonly protected by the manufacturers cardboard box, the kettle was finally found and was undamaged. As a test, the kettle was half filled with water and boiled on the gas stove. When fully boiling, the whistle emitted a high pitch shreek. As with all gas hob kettles, the kettle metal body was very hot and so was the handle. The whistle was easily and safely pivoted out of the way to permit pouring using it's vertical arm. Overall, a nice piece of kit. Recommended.
