Phyto Phytospecific an amazing natural hair relaxer and if you can get the original white box which I had it's sooo much better the cream is very smooth the whole contents are very good quality. I have found that since the company has been sold or taken over, the new brown boxed phytospecific just feels a little cheap, the packaging and contents also the cream seems to have lumpy crystals in it, it's as if the whole product has been downgraded! However it's still very expensive! I wonder if anyone else has experienced this! I give the White box 5 stars! So far I have not been impressed with the brown box! Maybe I have experienced a bad batch! The brown box does the job, my hairdresser has said it relaxes my hair but the result she feels is not as good! there is a definite change in quality! I contacted the company Phyto Phytospecific on a few occasions I'm still awaiting a reply!!

I have been relaxing my hair for nearly 20 years now and have tried nearly all the hair relaxers available on the market. phytospecific is certainly the most expensive i have tried and also the best product ever! The smell is good, the neutralizing shampoo with colour is great and the after care conditioner is fabulous too. I've used it for the first time and it did not burn,itch or cause any discomfort on my scalp and did not leave my hair stiff and dry as other relaxers do. I definetely recommend this product to anyone who is considering relaxing their hairs. I will wait a few weeks to see what my hair is going to look like and will post news ssooon .

Didn't work as my hair is still as curly as it was, all it has done is damage it and make it feel dry. Would not recommend.

I have used this product yesterday, my mother in law applied it but it was very difficult to her to process the hair since the cream is very thick and quickly dries in your hair. But in the end my curls were gone. I have a very curly hair and I have tried many relaxers in different saloons and also at home. I usually use vertical from redken and my hair looks very straight but after maybe 3 days you can see the waves are coming back!! That is why I bought this product, its day number two and I have slight waves but i think is not because the product is bad but is because my mother in law didnt pull my hair enough to make it very straight. So a recommendation to everyone would be to process the hair as much as possible to get the best results. But i am very happy with the final results, my hair is not dry and is soft to the touch, the curls are gone and I have just slights waves so my hair is much more managable. Recommended for someone that wants to get rid of the curls and a have wavy hair instead.

This product is amazing, my hair was so soft, bouncy and straight after I used this. I was really worried about using a new relaxer as I have only had bad experiences from home relaxer kits in the past but this product didn't damage my hair at all, infact it seemed to put life back into it. I have extremly sensitive skin and to make things worse when I was pregnant my skin became hyper sensitive but this product DID NOT BURN MY SCALP AT ALL. I highly recommend this relaxer kit to anyone. The price is high but once you've seen how good this is you'll realise it's totally worth it.

This product is far better than any other relaxer i've ever used It doesn't dry out your hair and you don't get loads of hair breaking off when you rinse out the relaxer. I have been relaxing my hair on and of for about 35 years and my hair now is the longest its ever been. Although its quite expensive for relaxer (lets be honest its no were near as much as a trip to the hair dresser). I will never go back to the other cheaper relaxer. the other good thing is that you can still wear your hair curly which helps keep it in good condition I have struggled all my life with my afro hair trying to find good products and good hair dresser this product will defo help

Strong and not so effect

Its okay, I used it as a texlax just to loosen my natural 4cdefg....z type curls a little, particularly with all the wet weather we are having in the UK, I am trying to reduce the amount of shrinkage and retain my hairstyle throughout the day, this has been effective so far. My hair has retained its naturally curl pattern and is still very natural looking but without the shrinking so it has worked for me. It did burn a little in one small area but otherwise okay. I have very sensitive scalp and haven't used a relaxer for over 4 years, I left it on only for about 5 mins, could have left it on for longer but wasn't sure how long it needed as I didn't want straight hair. Didn't notice anything particularly different that warrants the high price and huge postage costs! I need to see how it is after a few washes before I can make a fair judgement and decide whether I will use it again.

You need to make sure that you moisturize your hear weekly with a hair mask or an oil treatment, both of which are essential when treating relaxed and natural hair. This will help to protect against breaking.

My 3b/3c, biracial hair is naturally thick, textured and frizzy with very tight corkscrew curls. Over time, I became unhappy with how difficult the hair was to manage. It was impossible to completely comb, the slightest humidity or sweat woud turn the curls to frizz and the time it took in the shower to wash and detangle was unreal. Once the hair dried, even a full bottle of mousse would not be strong enough to make it hold any kind of length. Even though the strands of hair itself were halfway down my back, the tight curls would shrink until my hair was barely shoulder length. A few years back, I began relaxing my hair for length and manageability. I started with a treatment at an expensive salon in New York and since then have tried every curl relaxing technique from an $150 salon relaxer to the $9 dollar relaxer kits at CVS. Before I found phyto relaxers my hair had obvious damage and it was very apparent that my curls were relaxed. The hair was very dry and brittle, it was not smooth or soft to the touch and did not have shine. The relaxers stripped the strands of moisture and body, leaving the hair flat and limp. My hair was straighter in some parts and still very curly in others. After straightening a few times with a flat iron, I noticed a lot of breakage to the point that my hair had to be cut short in order to avoid looking stringy. The trade off for looser curls was losing all signs of health. I purchased phyto relaxer willing to try anything that would allow me to get what is really a simple desire: healthy, looser curls. If you relax your hair, skip going out on town for a day or two and spend the $50 on giving phyto a try (be safe and start with Index 1). The difference is worth it.

Best decision I've made regarding my hair was using this system. I have grown my natural hair out (4c, dense if you are a hair typer) for 6 years. It would take me an entire weekend to wash, deep condition, and protective style my hair. I needed more manageable hair that still maintained the "natural look". I used the level 1 relaxer to deliberately underprocess my hair. My hair turned out wonderful..i now have 4b/a hair. I had someone else apply the relaxer in 4 sections (washed each section out prior to relaxing the next). It took 5 minutes to apply and i kept on for only 8 to 10 minutes and minimally worked the product in. Each minute counts so i would imagine if you kept this in for 20 minutes your hair would be straight. It took several (like 7 washes for the suds to run clear). Its plant based but still a chemical, I felt sick to stomach while washing it out and several hours thereafter. It did not burn at all on my virgin hair. Plan to use it 2 or 3 times a year. My hair can be washed and conditioned in 15 minutes now but dries curly, full, and softer!!
