Great 8 ball! I had a different one for years which was a non Mattel version. I was pleasantly surprised with how good the quality was compared to my old one. The answers are clear and easy to read.

Little ones love the 8 magic ball, and the game is really fun.

A really lovely concept but sometimes the little dice inside doesn't fall correctly and it can be hard to read the answer. But still a great bit of fun.

Not great, writing isn’t the clearest when asking a question. My 8 year old still liked it but a novelty that wore off very quickly.

The item arrived today. I couldn't wait to test it. Unfortunately the ball shows messages at random shakes and not always. The messages are upsidedown. I can't seemed to find the right way, so I can read them easily. When I finally get aezsage after a few shakes, I have to half guess it as the message is half dark. The rest of of the time the messages are broken and do not appear . Instead there is a blue line. The item also arrived scratched. I didn't noticed at first but under a good day light the scratches are obvious.

I have bought this for a grandson who really wants one. I am sure it will be enjoyed. Hence I have given it 5*s. Looks well made and quite solid. You appear to be able to ask it questions and then it gives you answers. But basically although it has 20 different answers available they are really only of 'Yes' and 'No' and vague responses in between including 'ask again'! I am 73 so when I was a kid we had far more fun things to play with but that's not the point here I guess!! I don't doubt this will be appreciated but will be put aside pretty quickly. It's a shame - more non-recyclable plastic waste! Clearly this is written by a grumpy old man but at least it will light my grandson's face up! Received promptly as usual from Amazon.
