I’ve been using a mini pestle and mortar for years but needed something to take to the Cattery as my aged cat now has more meds than me and being able to crush the tablets properly reduces the stress considerably . It really works. I was a little sceptical and one of the tablets needed a bit more effort. After a second attempt all crushed to powder. I now have the knack. Only had it a couple of weeks but if it lasts like other reviewers have stated I will be very pleased.

Great little gaget, so easy to use. I was really struggling to get tablets into my dog but this makes it so easy. All you need to do is turn the top to grind and crush the pill and then you can leave it stored in the pot. I would highly recommend if like me you struggle with getting pills into your pet. I wish I had bought one years ago. Great price and delivery too.

This pill crusher uses a pointed shape for the top which fits perfectly into the bottom. The pointed design makes it easy to crush pills, because the point puts more concentrated pressure in one spot. The two ears on the top piece provide a good grip. The only negative is that there is no good grip on the bottom part, which is very hard. So you have to hold tighter and if you have to crush a lot of pills, you may develop calluses on your fingers/hand. I find that to get a really fine powder, I have to screw the top down, then up and down, repeating maybe 5-10 times, while shaking it a little. If I do it just once, there will be small hard chunks in the resulting powder. It's fairly easy though, thanks to the good grip on the top. There is another version of this pill crusher with a bottom that has a better grip, but I read that its edges are sharp. You may be better off using this one.

It works really well, was reasonably priced. Had never heard of a pill crusher until I needed to crush all my husbands’ pills to administer through a PEG tube directly into his tummy and I was asked by one of the professionals overseeing my husbands’ illness how was I coping with administering his medication and I said I’d had to result to crushing his tables between clingfilm with a rolling pin and she suggested a pill crusher. I would definitely buy this model again.

I use this item every day and it is great. I read some reviews about it being difficult for people with disabilities to use and I would imagine it is difficult in those circumstances. There is a lot of twisting and turning to crush a tablet effectively. But for me, an able bodied "pill dodger" it is ideal. You have to unscrew and rescrew the lid like I said several times to get to the point of dust, but this for me is far less messy than using a spoon(s) to crush tablets - and you don't lose parts of the tablet pinging them across the kitchen. Highly recommended, and for me a great investment.

We bought this product specifically for a tablet that my wife had difficulty swallowing, and had to resort to crushing with a pestle. The tablet is about 24mm long and about 6mm across, and is oval in shape. It was impossible for her to break it in two and close to impossible for me to crush it further. The product is obviously designed for round tablets and for these I would guess it would be satisfactory. There is no mention of the type / shape of tablet the crusher is suitable for in the product details online. The last straw is that we are not permitted to return the product. Be warned! Peter Fryer

I purchased this item to crush 'Turmeric+' joint supplement but the pills do not readily crush to a powder as the particles stick together in lumps so the crusher did not work satisfactorily on them as I suspect any other crusher would also fail. The only satisfactory way of dealing with these pills is enclosing them in a folded piece of kitchen towel and tapping them several times with a hammer. Out of curiosity I crushed a 'Paracetamol' tablet to a powder using the crusher with no problem so the crusher is ideal for the right type of pill.

This does just the job. It's a bit bigger than I expected but good. The one that I received is also different from the picture stated but I think it is actually better because it gives you more grip. It is easy with large tablets and if there are a couple of bigger bits, then just turn again.
