Great padlock. Shame that the body scratch easily but that is only cosmetic not compromising the padlock in any way.Is it secure? Hope to never find out In either good or bad outcome 😁

After researching locks for days I finally settled on this one and it's even better than expected.This lock was chosen to connect Peweg chain to secure our high end bikes. Since the chain I bought cannot be cut with bolt cutters, I wanted a lock that would be equally secure. The challenge was finding a highly secure lock that wasn't insanely expensive. Believe me, there are some great locks out there if you are willing to spend hundreds of dollars but that just wasn't in my budget. Here is why this lock is such a great value:Pros:- 6 pin cylinder with two security pins makes this lock extremely hard to pick- Cylinder is removable and can be keyed to Schlage keys! This is a real bonus as I was able to have the lock keyed the same as my house key. One less key to keep track of!- Spinning keyway cover protects against drill attacks- High shroud body protects against pry attacks and the sides of the shackle against cut attacks. If you use 12mm chain with this lock you would not be able to get bolt cutters at the shackle forcing the attacker to deal with the security chain.- Hardened dual ball bearings appear to be protected well and are likely shim proof.- Everything about this lock feels solid. No play or rattle to speak of.Cons:This lock doesn't have a soft outer coating. A silicone outer layer would help protect the lock finish as well as anything the lock rubs up against.Bottom line: Nothing even comes close in this price range.

If you're putting things in storage, this is your lock! After watching a few Youtube videos about how easy and fast it is to get into those little round locks they sell you at storage centers, I checked with what the locksmith experts on Youtube recommended, and this was one of their "best buy" picks. All I can say is - geez! This thing is seriously heavy duty and nobody's going to get into this baby without putting some time and work into it.FORGET buying one of those dinky round locks they sell at the storage places (the place I store at charges $12 for those things) and buy one of these. You'll have an actual tough-as-nails lock with a real-size heavy key that's going to actually buy you some genuine security. They might still get into your storage facility, but it'll be easier for them to tear the whole latch mechanism off the door rather than try to get through this lock!It's the old adage - no lock is impossible to get into, but this one would be extremely difficult to pick and with this hasp even standard bolt cutters would have a VERY hard time with it. If anyone wants to break into a storage unit, they're not going to waste time trying to defeat this lock when there's hundreds of other cheapo Brinks or Master locks everywhere else, or those little round Chateau locks that any fifteen-year-old can now pick in about 30 seconds thanks to Youtube tutorials.If you want peace-of-mind at a VERY reasonable price, I HIGHLY recommend this lock - it's a brute!

What a great lock for this kind of money Has some nice safeguards and is super heavywhen you turn the key it snaps has a quality key lock, the key area will spin if someone tries to drill it outsaw a rating it was number 6 and the number 1 was a $1500 lock,, forget those cheep round locksI have one of those and does not compare with this,, they are sloppy built

Purchased this product for our apartment storage locker and haven't had any issues yet. Any prospective thieves are better off cutting the wire cage of the locker than getting through this extremely sturdy lock!
