Worth the buy
This sweeper is much better than the cordless sweepers I've had in the past, plus the brushes have so much more bristle on them, so 3 rollers in total. It comes ready to assemble but with little effort takes a couple of ticks to screw the 3 sections of the handle to the base. It's nice and light and sweeper folds up for easy hanging storage. I was surprised just how much it pulled the pile up in the carpet compared to my Dyson upright!! Downside it will not get right up to the edges too well but otherwise works well around both carpet and hard floor areas. I don't think it would work on long pile carpets though but you'd have to buy one to know if it would work. It's easy to empty and comes with a cleaning comb to clear the brushes of threads and hairs and clips on the bottom of the handle. Very neat! Well worth the money as far as I'm concerned, vey happy. Delivery was within 5 days and price was good plus P&P.

Not quite as good as a Hoky..but nearly!
This is a great value sweeper-lightweight, easy to put together. My Hoky sweeper had finally given up the ghost and I decided to try a cheaper option. Does the Dustcare sweeper sweep up well ?-yes, though there are the odd times where you have to go over the same spot a few times to pick everything up. I'm used to a Hoky-which is the best sweeper I've owned. However, for a third of the price-this isn't bad at all. The only thing I don't like is that hairs get caught in the swivel brushes-and the comb provided is too wide-toothed to be effective-so you end up having to get the hairs out by hand! (The Hoky has a comb that is flatter, smaller toothed and pulls any hair clean out) Compared to another well, known brand of sweeper, this runs rungs round it! It is easy to empty, fairly compact and mainly effective. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is-I wasn't expecting much for the price! Can thoroughly recommend it.

Your vacuum cleaner will thank you for getting this.
I purchased this to save a bit on electricity as we have a short haired German Shepherd that drops hair like there's no tomorrow. If we didn't vacuum every day, we would be knee deep in the stuff. Having seen other reviews, I thought I'd give it a go for the price. It arrived nicely boxed with 3 sections of metal handle and a plastic brush comb. First impressions were that it is smaller than expected, comparing it to contraptions that I remember from my childhood. The handle sections screw together resulting in a sturdy, yet somewhat short handle (total length 94cm or 37 inches). I found it a little uncomfortable after a while, so anyone with back problems might struggle with this. On the plus side, it is very lightweight and easy to carry around. As can be seen in the photos, it consists of one central, good quality soft brush that really does a decent job of picking up dog hairs. The two course end brushes do rotate, yet are fixed on the top of the dust chambers, so don't actually contribute to the collection process. They do pick up hairs, but you have to pull them off manually. Our carpet is fairly long pile, so some downward force is required to get it to collect on backward strokes, but it does do it. I found it much easier on the smooth vinyl kitchen floor. That said, I am impressed just how much hair is collected by that main brush, as when first emptied, two nice bales of hair fell out. A vacuum cleaner it isn't, but for daily use it's a very good lightweight alternative and our vacuum need only come out a couple of times a week now. The only minor gripe would be that the metal bar that attaches the handle, stops the unit getting right up to edges against skirting boards and the like. Other than that, I can't really fault it and I'm glad I chose this model above others on offer. For the price, you can't go wrong. Apologies for the upside down photos - blame Amazon, as they were right when uploaded !

Does the job but not very robust build.
Please with this little carpet sweeper as my old hand held rechargeable sweeper’s battery stopped charging and the cld not buy a replacement battery. Trying to be more green and it’s just as easy to push this carpet sweeper about and it uses not energy. I am disappointed however that it’s made mainly of plastic and lols like it may of last long. Would be happy to pay more for one that lasts and that the body is made of metal. The less waste we make the better for the planet!!!

Impressive manual sweeper with sturdy handle, works on carpet and hard floor!
After searching for a manual sweeper to save me using electric with my Dyson vacuum, I settled on this one. Sturdy metal handle - YES! No issues with quality. It has 3 sections which are screwed together. Felt very secure when operating the sweeper and did not bend. Easy to empty when finished - YES! Picks up crumbs, hair and dust - YES! I was amazed at how much it did pick up and because it can go flat I used it under my chest of drawers and bedside cabinets to great effect. This was on carpet, and it also did a great job on the hall runner, which I mainly bought it for - daily Autumn/Winter mud sweeper. Also used it on my wood laminate kitchen floor to pick up crumbs and it did so well. For this price I am really pleased, so am buying another as a backup and to use one of the handle sections to extend my original handle (as I am very tall. It would be fine for an average height person) Brilliant!

CAUSED MORE WORK
initially i thought this was a good carpet sweeper but soon dicovered that everything that it picked up fell straight out again onto the carpet .After investigation i found the compartments that hold the the sweepings were not sealed so anything that was very small just fell out again.I have restored my old sweeper back to the cupboard and banished this one to the garden shed. Not a good purchase and a waste of money .

Fantastic quality sweeper
This carpet sweeper is amazing value for money. It has several brushes that pick up even the smallest dust particles and dirt. It is lightweight and so handy to use. The only downside I found is that I wish the handle was a bit longer but for the price you cannot beat it. I highly recommend this sweeper and I would buy again.

Dustcare lightweight carpet & hard floor sweeper
Arrived super fast and well boxed. Easy to assemble. Simple to use and works surprisingly well on various serfaces picks up animal fur very well. Does not clean right to the edge though hence four stars and not five but that said I was surprised at just how well it did work. It's also a bit squeaky when in use but that doesn't stop it being a simple to use and very efficient sweeper. Handle could have been a bit longer or maybe telescopic to make it just a bit easier to use for a taller user.
