This works very well but a couple of days later I bought a massive bag of the same contents, different name though and it was the same price.

Very good value worked well and safe for animals. Salt free.

I purchased this a year ago and we didn't get any snow so I've not used it yet. UPDATE: January 2026. Used it and it's brilliant. Does what it states. No slippy footpaths. I did get followed by several pigeons thinking I was putting out seed/grit. The tub needs to be easier to open and the handle sturdier.

I didn't read the reviews carefully enough, this product is not designed to be an ice-melter, in fact it's intended to form a traction layer over exiting ice and packed snow. Returned.

This stuff really is MAGIC! I used this on our death steps which always manage to have ice frozen on them from meltwater from our roof. Once I put this stuff sown it's like the ice doesn't even exist. I was super worried about my wife who has to carry my daughter up and down them at least twice a day and hoping for the best. Well with Traction Magic I no longer have to worry about it. Trust me I have taken at least 3 falls down my 1st floor to ground floor steps and the thought of my 7 month old and wife being brought down by stupid ice was not something I was willing to risk. So in a nutshell IT WORKS! And as an added bonus it dosent eat away at your mansonry /concrete...The only negative is it dosent all wash away once the snow melts and you have spring rains so you will have to sweep it up off your steps. Small price to pay for cheating an early death.

This is not ice melt. It's just for traction. It sits on top of the ice and keeps you from slipping when you walk on it. It does not melt the ice and will wash away if you use it while the snow is still coming down.

This works very well when you open your car door and there is a sheet of ice. Also works when there's ice on the parking lot between your car and a business or home. I didn't have to use much and I didn't slip. Highly recommended.
