This phone combined with the Sipgate Basic package is a great option. This Grandstream device seems to be good value with all the essential features that you need. It needs to be placed near your router or powerline adapter as it will need to be plugged into it directly. It also has a speakerphone option and support for a headset and can be configured for two SIP accounts. Ideal for use in a home office where you need an extra line, but don't want to pay line rental. I bought the 1625 and a 1628 specifically because of the come with power adapters. My LAN is configured in a manner that made PoE impractical. Wish I could have powered the phones It would have required multiple PoE switches or power supplies and wasn't worth the cost. **Q: Does this phone have a stand? I see one reviewer commented: "device will not set flat on table top"** A: If you have the stand on wrong, yes the plugs will push it up. In that position, you have installed it for wall mount. You need to turn it so it appears perpendicular to the phone and then reinstall the stand. **Q: What is the warranty on this product?** A: All Grandstream products come with a 1 year manufacturer warranty. **Q: Does this phone have an Intercom feature** A: This is a device to be used on Voice Over IP phone system. I've bought lots of Grandstream phones. Decent call quality, easy enough to configure, and enough features for most applications. Call quality is good. PoE is great - no ugly power bricks under desks.
