Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 4G 16GB SIM-Free Smartphone - Gold

I got this phone as a replacement for a Galaxy S4 mini and I love it. It’s larger than my old phone but I chose it as the smallest replacement. Now I have it and am using it, I’m impressed with it’s functionality and ease of use, particularly apps and the internet. Somehow it seems a real leap in ease of use from my old phone (which I loved). But best of all is the battery life which is very impressive for a smart phone. Also the company who supplied it were very good. It was down as a used factory return in very good condition. When it arrived, the paperwork described the “damage” it had. It was a tiny scratch which took some finding. Personally, I would have described it as new. It arrived quickly as promised.

Good phone, easy to use, good battery life. Only slight dislike is the Samsung 'briefing' screen, I would prefer another screen that I can customise with apps.

The phone I received has been modified, so I cannot update the software on the phone, I have performed a factory reset on phone and rebooted it but still can not update the software. Also, the phone is at least 3 yrs old and I paid too much for the phone. this puts me off buying online. I shall have to watch out next time I order anything online. .or well that is 200 pounds down the pan. thanks for nothing. I can't speak highly enough of this phone. Even better than the previous A3 model. Does everything you would expect of a modern smartphone. Looks great, perfect size (hate those really big phones), good camera , great battery life..and all at a very reasonable price. Get one, you won't be disappointed.

Arrived on final delivery date. Very nice phone I had an LG lite before which was more colourful and clearer in general had some more features that I liked which are lacking on this phone. Otherwise ok, better memory and camera is what I wanted.

The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) is a great phone, but unfortunately I received a non-UK spec version (it was supplied with a European charger), this caused a number of issues (including software update problems) and so reluctantly I had to return it to Amazon. Amazon were very good with the returns as usual; I've since bought the same phone from elsewhere (at a higher cost than Amazon), but I know I now have a UK spec phone so hopefully no more software issues.

I am so glad that I bought this portable telephone device! With this, you can communicate with basically every other person who has another similar device. Apparently the signal travels to a satellite, that projects it back to the other device, so you can talk to each other. It doesn't need a cable, so you can use it on the street, in the park, or the bus station for example. But please, be aware that the battery must be charged. Once the battery is gone, you can' turn it on. The function "SMS" allows you to send text e messages. It is like a telegraph, but oh dear, much faster and in a digital format, so no paper is required. You use a virtual keyboard to type. Genius! But hold on, as this is nothing compared with what else it can do! It has a "Clock" image, so you click on it and you can check the time, and also the date. There is also a "calculator" function integrated to do your maths and even crazier than that, a "voice recorder", and a photo camera and a video camera! Yes, you may think that I'm just making all this up, but trust me, this is real. I've just found all of this on my first few days of use, basically every day I find a new action and most of them are not even advertised in the product description. It has clearly exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend this product!

Too many Samsug Apps and after four days started to overheat. Returned and got money back. Have had A3 for some years, this model was a poor update.
