It's become an HDMI and DisplayPort world but if you have older monitors which only support VGA then this is what you need. Works faultlessly. Avoids junking older monitors, which typically keep working well for a decade or more, and it's such a pity to junk them just for want of a cable.

The product if great, the only issue is that you can't see the bios detail on starting up the pc because it takes time for the monitor to switch on. it's not a big problem but slightly annoying as makes configuration changes difficult to bios setting

It works as it should. No problems with display being detected or strange operation despite the nvidia control panel even correctly listed the attached monitor EDID data and also as a VGA connection type on the displayport output. UPDATE: Also tested on Intel integrated and AMD RX graphics cards. In all 3 cases monitor properly detected with correct resolution limits at the very least and no issues with usage. Picture quality is good, up there with the best I've seen on a VGA cable connection to a monitor. Your own experience may vary depending on the quality of the screen in use and the resolutions supported. In terms of good points of the design, the electronics doing the conversion I suspect are in the VGA plug end so the analogue signals don't have far to travel so quality is preserved as best as possible. This also means the cable isn't overly thick and positioning doesn't cause any picture issues. The only potential downside of the design is that if the display being connected has limited clearance between the connector and any part of the display housing/foot then this may not fit. So if a normal VGA cable plugged in to the display is a snug fit then this may not fit. Most VGA monitors seem to be fine however some TVs have recessed / limited clearance available.

Seems like a good quality product and well built. Cable matched advertised length. It handles hdmi well. Easy to use just plug in no install needed. I used this to connect a secondary monitor to my work PC.

Returning mine as bought it and initially worked but then started stuttering (flashing on and off with the picture). Initially was fine for a few hours and then the flashing became more frequent until eventually the normal picture did not display at all. Turned on and off. Fine for a minute and more of the same. Changed monitors. Same problem. Not sure if it’s a technical fault or compatibility issue. Returning them now. Shame as they look good quality

This is a display port to vga male cable, and I have bought one before. If you are needing one of these, check carefully that the vga socket on the monitor has plenty of clear space beyond it. The monitor I was planning to use has speakers at the bottom if it, and the vga socket is recessed. Ordinary vga plugs fit easily, whereas the the Benefi one is VERY LONG and doesn't fit at all. Not normally a problem of course. Luckily I had an alternative monitor.

Great as a quick compatible solution for old monitors, haven't had any quality or performance issues, and seems durable after a year of use.
