Soak in hot water then it becomes soft. If you clamp down and push your lower jaw forward it will cool and stay that way (kind of). I forgot my dentist-made oral device on my vacation and Amazoned this one to get me through. It does appear to work better than nothing. Of course it is not as "good" as a dentist-made one that costs 800 bucks. It, however, does allow the teeth to move too much back into a non-underbite position so it is not really effective. Better than nothing but not much. 3 stars because it is a cool idea. If it started as an underbite it might be better.
