I have used this and took the applicator apart to clean it and now cannot get it back together - anyone else have this issue?

You have to push the broad end in quite hard to get it back in. I use a piece of toilet paper to push the flat bit in so I’m not touching it, also you can also pull the little end through as well that can help. I prefer to take it apart to clean it, easier.
