Scissors cut braid like butter , the pliers are very good and seem to be good quality. Fast shipper on time and well packed.

Braided fishing line is sometimes tricky to handle. It is a little stiff and sometimes has a mind of it's own. These pliers work very well with them. They have holes to thread the thread through and grooves to do the same to stabilize the line as you hold it with the pliers. There is a cutter on the outside of the pliers which is very accessible. The scissors have a serrated blade as well as grooves for stabilizing the line as you cut it. The serrated blade stays sharp for a long time which makes these scissors valuable for the fisher person to add to their tool box.

They look great and seem to be built good. My only complaint is the spring in the pliers isn’t very strong. They don’t automatically open as much as I’d like them to.

These feel like quality tools. The color stands out so they're easy to spot in the tackle box or fishing bag. (Or if you drop them in the boat.) The lanyard is handy if you get butterfingers after a big catch or if your hands are just wet. Super easy to use.

This is the second pair of pliers like this I’ve purchased. The first set has disappeared from my tackle box (I suspect they may be in a buddy’s boat). This time I found Kast King now bundles them with a pair of scissors. The scissors are nice for braid. Although I have a braid cutter on my box, these will come in handy as they will be much easier to use while changing lures between spots.What I like: nice snug fit in the holster. Comes with lanyard and D ring to keep attached to belt loop in case you drop them. Rubber grips are tacky enough I’d be surprised if they did slip though.What I don’t love: not enough to lose a star, but the lanyard is shorter than I would like. It’s a bit of a balance, since you don’t want it catching on everything, but even when you stretch out the coils, it can be a little tight to get to the lure you’re needing to grab. A retractable would be preferred.All In all, the price and quality here make this a heckuva deal!

This is exactly what I was looking for! I am an avid fresh and saltwater angler and I needed something to survive both elements and these have done the trick! Many claim saltwater ready, however, they rust days after the first use. These have not! Also, the soft rubber comfort grips are great when out on the water … anything can work at home. Finally, I truly like the belt clip and it doesn’t rotate, like many others, so they never fall out. All in all, another great Kastking product!
