Thank you for your interest in Omaha Steaks. These items should be frozen until you are ready to cook them, the Ham needs 26-28 hours in the refrigerator to thaw.

Q: how many people does this serve?

I got the smaller 2.5 lb ham and it probably would have served 4 to 5 people. I got the smaller one for two people and to have leftovers. Depending on the appetites of your guests, I think at least 12 people with leftovers for later. Ours was delicious and exceeded my expectations. Read the instructions carefully to get everything to come out at same time. Some require you to stir and put back in the oven. Happy Easter!
