Both Dogs Thriving and Love VDog!
I have 2 dogs. One is a 14 year old Siberian Husky and the other is a 7 year old Red Tick Hound mix. For years they have both been eating a popular commercial brand of dog food. I've always made it a point to periodically check the ingredients label and I do try to keep up with the latest "OMG's" in pet food because let's face it, it isn't the cleanest food industry out there. The nastiness of the commercial industry and the origin of a lot of commercial dog food ingredients is the reason why we decided to make the switch over to VDog. One of the first things that I noticed about the food when I opened the bag was the smell. It's not a bad smell at all but it's definitely not the same as the old food that they were eating. It doesn't smell like fake meat flavoring, it of course has a very veggie smell to it. To me it's like a cross between sweet potato and peas which once you read the ingredient list, it makes sense. The second thing is that the bag is recyclable. Third is that the kibble is green which took me a bit to get used to seeing. They have now been on this dog food for over 2 months. I do supplement the Red Tick Hound with cooked chicken breast once or twice a week, but the Husky is strictly VDog because after we made the switch, whenever she is given the chicken breast she ends up with an upset stomach and things get smelly and ugly really quick so she is technically a vegan dog now. Both dogs love this food and I don't have to bribe either one of them to eat it with a gravy over the top like I used to have to do with their old food. Now that I think back, me having to do that should have been a red flag for me. I wanted to provide them with a better quality food to keep them both healthier and around for as long as possible. I never dreamed that the Husky would show the improvements that she has. Older dogs have a tendency to start having hip problems and unfortunately that is one of her problems. She did a lot of laying around with very little attempts at running and playing until the past couple of weeks. Recently I have been having to try and wind her down again like I did years ago. Her mood has obviously improved too, she looks and acts a lot happier, which is a very positive change that I'm really glad to see. The Red Tick Hound has shown some changes too. His breath oddly enough doesn't smell anymore and his coat is sleek and shiny again. We had noticed that his fur had become wiry and scratchy and with a better quality diet, that changed. Yes, the food price point is higher but you are paying for quality ingredients which in turn will lead to a healthier dog in the long run. I'm very thankful for VDog and will continue to feed it to my dogs and recommend it to others.

That wonderful food saved my dog’s sensitive stomach problems and itchy skin.. her coat is beautiful shiny and people couldn’t believe that she doesn't shred us a lab.. thanks to V-dog!!! I’m plant based too…. And a blood donor…. That proofs we don’t need to sacrifice animals lives to eat.. they have right to live us we do ( plants are power) thank God♥️

great food for dogs of all types
We absolutely love this food, we've been using it for 13 years across three different dogs and they have all been so incredibly heathy and energized, highly recommend. They have a great wet food as well

Healthy, Happy Dogs for Years
My dogs have been eating V-dog for years and are super healthy. Their coats are shiny, digestion is smooth, and they absolutely love the taste. It’s great knowing they’re getting plant-based, high-quality nutrition without any fillers. Definitely a staple in our home.

Been a fan for years!
My dog loves this stuff! It works with her belly and doesn’t irritate her. It’s a lite on the pricey side but worth it. Great size and quality. Nicely textured and doesn’t smell bad. Been getting this for years now.

Dogs like it a lot.
My dogs really love this food. They get excited at dinner time. Wish it were slightly more affordable, but I continue to buy it as a great vegan dog food.

Dogs love it, itching is gone
I’m not personally vegetarian or vegan and my dogs still get meat-based treats but I had to go looking for foods that were hypoallergenic. One of my dogs is a Great Pyrenees mix and no matter what I fed her she’d be itchy. I tried omega supplements, which made her coat super shiny but didn’t stop the itching, and I had the vet do a Cytopoint shot which works like a champ but I didn’t want her to be on meds for the sake of it, plus it works out very expensive every 5 weeks. So, I did some looking around and decided to give V-Dog a try. Upon opening the bag I was skeptical because it smells very “green”. I thought my dogs wouldn’t eat it but I was completely wrong. They devoured it, especially my Basset mix. Within 2 weeks all of the itching was gone, the dogs no longer have gas, and their stools are small and they don’t stink anymore. My vet knows what I’m feeding them and she has no concerns. It’s definitely not an inexpensive food but you get what you pay for. When I adopted my pups I committed to giving them the best life I could and the food they eat is an integral part of that.

Tried cause it’s vegan, stayed cause it’s AWESOME
I chose this food because it’s got the best overall reviews for vegan foods (not that we have countless options). I was wary of spending so much on it only to find my dogs didn’t like it or didn’t thrive on it. Choosing to feed a dog vegan is definitely controversial, and with so many people screaming about how it’s not healthy or safe or even ethical to feed dogs vegan, even with the research I poured into it, I was nervous. As it turns out, I should’ve trusted all those non-vegan reviewers saying how they love this food for its health benefits. Not only do my dogs LOVE this food, it seems to be the healthiest they’ve ever had. I have one with eye allergies and dry skin that’s now totally cleared up, and one with sensitive tummy issues (spitting up bile a couple times a week) totally resolved for the first time ever! They’re both alert and energetic, with soft, shiny coats, and my porky dog has lost a bit of weight while my hyper dog has not lost any. I know dogs are omnivores, naturally leaning toward a meat-rich diet, but feeding them this food, I really have to wonder how true that actually is. I’ve only ever fed them high-end foods, top rated stuff, but no matter what they had issues. A few weeks on V Dog and They’re in the best shape ever. I’m so impressed!
