Great product, wonderful tech support experiences.
Two things I like about this product: One is the fan-less design that not only provides a quite working environment but also gives me worry free for future exhausted fan replacement. The other one is the PD Detection design that let me feel so comfortable to use with my non-PoE devices. One more thing is the 2 uplink ports design that makes it easy for me to link two network trunks. The tech support guy is so experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly. He not only pointed out my issue right away but also gave me the proper suggestions and solutions to help me to finish setting up my surveillance camera system.

Works great and most importantly runs silent
Just like everyone else here, I'm running several ip-cameras off the poe and filled up the rest of the ports with regular devices. I also got 2 servers running off the 2 gigabit ports and bandwidth seems fine. It's silent, it doesn't even feel hot to the touch, and performs well. I just bought a second one - for the price it was great. Oddly enough the day after I got it, I see the price went up $30. Oops sorry y'all :D

Worked well for about four years and then died.
I bought this product about four years ago and was lightly loaded, Had around 6 devices which were rarely pulling any traffic and there were two POE AP's. Everything worked well for about four years and then this switch stopped working. This one provides POE power to devices connected however Switch part is broken as this does not provide ethernet to any clients connected either directly or via daisy chained with other switch.

Good quality switch
Good quality switch. All the ports work and it's still working while powering 10 POE cameras.

Worked for 6 years and then died.
Worked fine for 6 years and 1 month. Just started rebooting itself. Seems to be stable and fine until you plug in any POE device, then it starts rebooting.

Not sure what others are doing, but this switch works great.
So far so good over a month now running PoE devices, no ports have gone out nothing, just straight up works. Unsure what others are doing to their equipment, but there is a ground screw on the back, make sure to connect that sucker to your rack or other inter-system bonding device to protect from any residual currents or similar, they place terminals like that on items like this for a reason, just being screwed into the rack does not make it grounded or bonded at all especially when the manufacturer places a separate spot for a ground wire there.

UPDATE! They work fine while they last. 3rd one failed less than 1 year old
UPDATE: Just this week I replaced 2ea 18 port models at 2 separate sites. These are the 5th and 6th ones out of 8 i have bought over the last 2-3 years. Both failed after a recent power outage. Both times ports 11-16 died. Don;t bother, get the TL-SL1218MP for about $135.00. A much more reputable mfg. I have installed 7 or 8 (16 port and 24 port) of these for professionally installed IP camera systems. They are simple to install with no issues. This is the second that has failed on us. The first one was replaced under warranty and this one is at 11 months so it should be replaced as well. Each of the ones that failed were installed at different projects. I am pretty certain the power supply is the issue. When they fail they just go dead. No intermittent issues leading up to the failure. They come at a great value, but if they do not last then they are worthless.

I use this for live music application. I wanted a cheaper solution to connecting multiple Allen and Heath Me-1 units together over POE. This is perfect. The Allen and Heath version of this will cost you £1300 and this unit does the same job and gives you more ports. I have used this now on several shows without any issues so if anyone is looking at a similar solution I can highly recommend this unit. I tried 2 cheaper units but they didn't work. Fits in a rack perfectly too!!!

Worked perfectly on my 16 ch NVR the nvr didn’t seem to have enough start up power for itself and all 16 cameras. This resolved the issue

This is not a lot of money for 16 POE ports and 2 x 1Gb uplink ports. Solidly made, worked out of the box and silent. It's the hub of my new (Hikvision) POE CCTV and access control system which even idiots like me can set up. BV Security may not be a well-known name in the UK but they're pretty big in the USA and I commend them on a well-made product and their disruptive pricing.

I have put several of these units and they work as advertised. Great price and shipped in good packing. I have had units in for over two years still running great. I use them for VoIP phones
