It has a huge base that holds a large surface-area of food. The edge is reasonably thin, allowing you to get under most foods. I've used it to flip fish, pancakes, omelettes and dosas (thin Indian lentil crepes) with very, very few food breakages so far. I've also lifted hot cookies off baking sheets without any crumbling. I suspect, although I haven't tried it, that the silicone coating is too thick to slide under French crepes. In months of regular use, I've experienced absolutely no melting or warping. This might be linked to the fact that I don't ever keep my silicone gadgets just sitting inside hot pans. Your experience may or may not differ if you tend to leave your utensils inside pans on the heat for lengths of time. It should be noted that this item is not dishwasher-safe. The silicone surface WILL absorb the scent of your dishwashing liquid over the course of a wash-cycle. How do I know? Call it an experiment that didn't work out too well! Thankfully, after a few weeks of steady use and washing by hand, the lingering lemony scent of freshness is gone and we're back to normal. All in all, a great product. I'm actually tempted to buy one more and keep it in reserve in case this specific model gets discontinued.

No issues with this impliment, i ve used it on all my recent camping adventures, this is my favourite spatula to use, easy to clean, and has stayed flexable

Perfect for flipping stuff in a pan

I’m really pleased with this wide-ended silicone food turner, that’s ideal for turning larger food items such as fish and omelettes in non-stick pans. I much prefer silicone utensils to nylon/plastic ones as I tend to find that even heat resistant plastics can begin to melt in thinner areas (such as at the tapered end of a turner), whereas silicone doesn’t have this problem. This is unusual compared to other silicone tools I own, as the end is just a thick layer of silicone, with no metal core. It’s pretty good, though: sturdy and flexible, and tapered all the way around the edge, not just at the tip – so this can be slid under food at the sides as well as at the end. The end of the handle is covered in soft grip silicone that feels pleasant to hold, and the handle has an integrated hanging loop.

Super high quality, very flexible, lifts omelletes perfectly and ideal for our ceramic pan. It's pretty large - much bigger than the sense you get from the picture. But we've found that's a good thing, especially with omelletes and turning over stir-fries, it's really bigger than supermarket versions and clearly much higher quality.

A very well made item. The blade is firm and flexible and the handle feels good. I only have a criticism of the content on the listing as the images do not give a good indication of size so I got one a little bit bigger than I planned. But all in all a very good product.
