This specific Remington shaver only comes with a region-specific wall-wart charger; this replacement charger-cord is compact and power-standards-agnostic; it allows me to travel anyplace I can find a USB power outlet. Seems to be working fine - I'm very happy so far after a few charges. Not sure whether it'll be better or worse than the vendor-supplied wall-wart w.r.t. ultimate battery service-life; that's not my biggest concern right now - this thing enables me to travel lighter, so I'm a fan.

Had this now for some time and it's still going strong. Perfect replacement.

It fits and works well for my Remington Shortcut Pro Self-Haircut Trimmer Kit, Waterproof Cordless Electric Razor.

I love my Smartcut Pro, but if you have one for long enough, they generally develop one of two problems: 1. The internal rechargeable battery will no longer take a charge. If the shaver shuts off shortly after starting, this is the problem. 2. The unusually flimsy original power cord has stopped working — I’ve had two of them break on me. If there’s no blue light when the shaver is plugged in, you need a replacement cord like this one. I found this cord to be great value, and I also liked how compact it is by using USB. Highly recommended!

I am very happy with this cable! The quality and design of this cable far exceeds that of the original cable for my Remington... I now have the flexibility of using AC or a power bank and it is awesome. Even though my clipper is rechargeable, I prefer to use AC or have it powered by a powerbar. I ordered two of these cables for under $20... Thank you for this great product!
