Alessi Taste of Italy Holiday Variety Gift Box, Sampler of Culturally Inspired Soups, Pastas, Risottos, Farros and Premium Bread Sticks

This is a box of 16 items, no two the same: 4 packs of risotto, 4 packs of farro, 4 packs of soup, and 4 boxes of bread sticks. Each is delicious and makes for a meal for 2-3 people... All of them follow, more or less, similar simple directions and are really easy and quick to make. For the risotto and farro packs, you can easily add a protein and/or vegetable for a balanced and full meal. Some of my favorite additions are: can of tuna, beef crumbles, bacon bits... extra cheese of any kind... sauteed onions/peppers, diced fresh tomatoes, boiled broccoli florets, and/or can of peas. I discovered this when looking for shelf-stable meal starters in preparation for a full schedule this fall and it has 100% saved my life and diet. The packets can be made with ease after a long day of work and the flavors are so satisfying they hold up against the temptation of eating out... which I try to avoid. The box makes for a great gift, too! I sent a box to my friends who were moving and it really helped as the packets were easy to prepare even with an incomplete kitchen... and they're super frugal, too, so the meals saved them from having to eat out while their kitchen and lives were in flux. I plan on sending a box to some of my friends for the holidays, too. This is a great gift for busy people who want to cook at home, but may lack the inspiration or preparation to make it work.

This was a big hit with my brother. He’s hard to buy gifts for but he loves trying new foods. He told me he has liked almost everything in the box (only one he didn’t but I can’t recall which it was). There are a lot of items in the set and a nice variety. He says they are simple to make and he has also added additional ingredients to the soups like meat and veggies. Portions are enough for 2-3 people if served with additional items. It comes in a very nice box and everything was packaged well, no crushed or bent items. Very pleased with this!

All the things we love, except maybe the broccoli. The box was well recieved, the soups will be the star, this is a quality brand that shines in taste and value. This is the perfect size for a gift or personal use. Nice clean ingredients

Excellent soups for autumn we’re enjoying the variety. I love the noodle soup the best. They were comforting. Warm and easy to prepare. We just added 8 cups hot water and simmer ten minutes. They taste great. They all have ingredients that are easy to recognize like carrots and peas and noodles. I recommend adding cheddar cheese to each recipe and serve with corn bread or hot buttered toast. Great value for the money. 8 1 cup servings each.

This is the second box I have sent to my son in Texas when he wasn’t feeling good. He loves them. So many choices. But this time one of the bags had a slight hole in it and was spilled in the box. FYI

We liked this! It is as it says: a taste of Italy. The recipes are easy to prepare - not tedious at all, but quick when you want to whip up one of them. And they taste good : )

I am a fan of Alessi products. I put this aside as a Christmas gift for someone. It is so simple to add one or two ingredients to a pouch. This would be great for a college student or someone who doesn’t like to spend a lot of time cooking after work.

We didn't particularly like this collection. Same pasta in nearly every packet. And too much pasta relative to veggies in soups. The Resoto needed more seasoning.
