How does this work on 520 O-Ring chain to put on masterlink? Does it evenly press it on, without mashing the o-ring or x-ring?

I bought this excellent well made tool specifically for my 520 O-ring chain on my KTM 690 Enduro R. It is a very skookum tool as I have used another cheaper cast iron type tool (only one available where I was at the time) that bent when under extreme stress. This tool doesn't! Well worth the money.
