Review: Great cat toy - This ball is great to help your cat work a bit harder for their treats and keep them busy. I have a new cat in the house and while he isn't allowed outside yet, this is great at keeping him busy finding treats. Although I have to hide it so he has to find it as he's getting too good at it and will empty it rather quickly. But its robust and works as intended, really glad we got it.
Review: Good but didn't last very long - My greedy cat sussed this out in seconds. She's on a strict calorie-controlled diet so it's a good way of ensuring she eats her dry food slowly, plus it keeps her amused. My only complaint is that the twisting mechanism has loosened up. As she bats it around it shifts and reveals the larger hole, meaning the food is released much too fast. So as a cat toy it is fine, but after 4 months concentrated use as a feeder it's a write off. If you're looking for a long-term feeding aid I can recommend the Catmosphere which is similar. Slightly larger and heavier, more expensive than the Catit but it can withstand a large and/or determined cat for years... The Catmosphere I bought 3 years ago is still going strong and has the added advantage that unlike the Catit, it comes apart for washing.

**Q: what type of treats would go in this ?**
A: We've found the best things to put in this are Purina Dentalife treats as they're small enough to fit through the smaller hole after a bit of cat batting, but not too small to get wedged or all come out at once like Dreamies. (Not to be confused with Whiskas Dentabites, these are a little big)

**Q: Is this made of hard plastic?**
A: Yes is made of hard plastic.  My cat has been batting it round the house and the ball in still in great shape.

**Q: What is the diameter of this item? My cat doesn't like to play with 'big' balls.**
A: I measured it at 7cms ( same size as a wooden clothes peg if that helps !)but as the previous answer says its quite light - my cat wont play with a tennis ball but she will roll that around (maybe because of whats inside? !!)

**Q: Does this have one treat hole or many?**
A: Mine had a small hole and a big hole, one on each side

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great distraction for when you're cooking!

We have 2 kittens who, despite being fed the correct amount of dried food, are thieves and will poke their noses into everything! As such, cooking and meal preparation can be a real problem, unless they are banished from the kitchen at every meal time. This cat treat ball - which we use with their regular Royal Canin cat food - makes a huge difference, making our meal times both pleasant for us and entertaining for the cats. As the cats tend to be fed just before us, we merely put most of their food in their dishes and the rest into the ball to allow us to get on with cooking/eating in peace. The ball is of sturdy construction and the holes where the food/treat comes out can be adjusted, by minuscule amounts, by a simple twist of the coloured plastic base. This makes the ball suitable for a wide range of cat foods/treats. We also purchased a PetSafe SlimCat Feed Ball at the same time as this and have found this to be better, as the 'spiral maze' inside delays the food dispensing for longer than the open ball construction of the PetSafe, giving us more peace! In the video, you'll see the ball being used with a relatively large opening but, with fine adjustment (and possibly the marking of the optimal opening size with a pen), you can make it far more challenging than this. All in all, this is a great product. It is cheaper than the PetSafe SlimCat (46p at the time of writing!), can be made more challenging and can be used for slimming your cat or as a superb distraction for inquisitive or greedy cats, allowing the human in the house to be more productive! Highly recommended.
