This is a far better replacement than the original. The engineering is significantly improved. The price was much lower than the OEM, which would likely fail again. This is the best solution for a failed spring unit in a Bosch Dishwasher. The repair is fairly straightforward, but it does require a small level of skill for a professional-quality repair. Consult the YouTube video that applies to this repair for your specific model. It's a pleasure now that the dishwasher no longer emits steam and runs quieter, according to my partner.

I replaced the broken spring mechanism, after 10 years the original poorly designed plastic pieces broke. This new replacement seems much better, using metal in place of some of the plastic. Description says to replace both; not sure why, I only replaced the broken one. It came with NO instructions and a single peel off label with a “R” on it. Puzzled. Anyway, it was easy to install. 10 months later the other side broke, and again the replacement process was simple.

Found a broken string on the floor next to my bosch dishwasher. After a bit of research I identified this part as a suitable replacement. I have close to zero mechanical skill and yet was able to replace this part in under 15 minutes. Much better quality than the original.

Easy to replace and work good

Bosch factory original used a plastic tab to anchor the spring into place on the dishwasher mount. The replacement uses a metal tab to anchor the spring. The nylon cable mechanism is the same as the factory original. Be sure to order the dual spring kit with the cables; because as was in my case both cables had snapped plus the one plastic spring anchor had broke. After a person wrestles the dishwasher out from under the counter, the springs are easy to get at on both sides of the dishwasher for repairs.

Fits well but not quite as strong as the original springs. These were orange and the ones I replaced were red.

Initially worked great but broke after just over one year. Will be buying OEM next in case they have a manufacturing issue. Save some money and just buy the OEM Bosch brand parts.
