Philips PowerTouch PT720 Electric Shaver

I recently decided it was time to upgrade from my old 2 head Philishave.This new shaver looks really nice and feels good when using it on my face (glides effortlessly)...however I am finding it gives me a burning sensation once I've finished shaving which my old philishave never used to do. Perhaps my skin just needs to get used to it because already after my 5th shave the burning sensation has reduced.It gives a very good shave, but only very slightly better than my philishave so I don't think it was worth upgrading in my case. It's cheap though so I can't complain!If you are looking for a first time shaver then this is the one for you - it's brilliant, but if you already have a philishave shaver that still works and you only want a new one because you think it will give you a much better shave then I recommend waiting until your shaver actually does break!=========REVIEW UPDATE BELOW==========It's been a few weeks since I bought it and I can report that the burning sensation has stopped. I guess my skin has adapted to it.=========REVIEW UPDATE TWO============When I said originally that it only gave a slightly better shave than my old philishave it was because this powertouch still left a few very small hairs every time under my chin. I've since learnt that if you very slowly move the shaver over that area it will actually get those hairs. Now I can say this is the best shave I've ever had, my skin is extremely smooth now. Upped my review to 5 stars. :)

The lack of a trimmer for this product is no issue for me as I never used it on my old shaver anyway. Why pay for a feature you don't need?The shave heads are smooth and don't drag when the skin is dry. They do move and align with the contours of the chin as described and I find them much better than my old dual-head shaver.Battery life is great - only used it for a month (every other day) but still on the original charge with no sign of battery depletion yet.It's also really, really light so taking it with me when I travel is no problem at all.Cleaning the heads under the tap is a new one for me and works well - a quick rinse after shaving in the morning then leave the end open to air-dry during the day.

I bought this because I really rate the Philips shaving products.My dad has the HQ6970 model and I have used it on occasion and found it gives a lovely close shave with no irritation to the skin.I can not understand anyone who would be critical of this shaver at the cost.It represents excellent value for money.Some reviewers have said it is ugly ? it is a shaver not an ornament - the ergonomic design makes it very comfortable to use and it is extremely quiet.Cleaning could not be more simple - just press a button, the head flips up and the dead hair is easy to dispose of with the aid of a brush which is supplied.The absence of a flip up sideburn trimmer is no real problem for me as I have my own hair and beard trimmer which does this job quite easily.Anyone wanting a great introduction to the excellent range of Philips shavers need look no further than this model.I highly recommend it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the closeness and smoothness of the shave with this Philips PT720/17 shaver. It's certainly very acceptable if used once or twice daily, as recommended.The Li-Ion battery can power the shaver for about a week before needing another 8 hour charge. However, since it can be used from the mains via the charging lead, you won't be stuck unable to shave because of a low battery.For cleaning, the heads chamber should be opened and run under a warm tap. Excess moisture remaining in the heads chamber can be absorbed (if required) with a small towel or a paper kitchen towel, and then left open to air-dry completely.There's a small cleaning brush supplied. This should be used to clean the individual guards and cutters after disassembly. (Philips say once every 3 months.)I bought this lift and cut shaver to replace my existing Philips shaver, which is now several years old, rather than buy new heads for the old shaver. This new shaver is similar to my old one, but the new one lacks a trimmer.The charger comes with a 2-pin plug and therefore will require a two-to-three pin shaver adapter for UK 13A outlets.

I am using this shaver for over a year, done The job really well until you have to replace the blades, but I am Not happy with the aftermarket support for the blades.The blades that where included with this shaver done a clean shave without much discomfort.About 4 months ago The red light started to flash telling me to replace the blades.Philips does not offer replacement blades for this product !!I found Philips PT720/17 Compatible Blades Heads Pack made and sold by Gagi Spares, BUT they eliminate the lift and cut technique, cause alot of discomfort when shaving and does not leave a clean shave, ontop now after 2 months use they start to create a high pitched grinding noise.I recommend to stay away from this shaver as there are cheaper and better options plus aftermarket support.

My last Philips still works but it is over 10 years old so it lacks a bit in the details so to speak. This here beauty simply floats over my face and with its ergonomic body shape makes for easy manipulation. The triple heads work especially well in or around the contours and there is no snagging over the chin as it has evidently been designed to accommodate the not-so flat part of the human skull.I have yet to try the washing under the tap routine but it is easy to dismantle and cleans easily like my old one. The two gripes are the length of time for the re-charge but at least there is a warning light advising that action needs to be taken at some point in the near future and also that the shaver does not come with a storage pouch.However, notwithstanding the two minor gripes this is a quality shaver from a fine reputable brand and one that I would heartily recommend.

Rasiert besser als mein alter für €~260, mit dem ich mir anfangs oft die Lippen angeschabt habe. Hält etwa 40 Rasuren. Man muss gut lesen, um zu wissen, dass er keinen Haarschneider hat.

El producto es si esta bien, pero el problema es que el enchufe tiene las clavijas mas juntas de lo normal y no entra en los enchufes de casa. A ver como lo soluciona Amazon

Está acorde al precio que vale, no quería gastar mucho y por eso la he comprado, no tiene corta patillas.
