Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Welsh): Harri Potter a maen yr Athronydd (Welsh)

Reasonably challenging for a learner, using past tense and a range of vocabulary, but as long as you're willing to puzzle your way through with Google Translate to hand, a fantastic choice for dysgwyr of any level.

Alas, I cannot comment on the accuracy or otherwise of the Welsh in the book, but I can say that this book arrived on time and in good condition, and that I was very happy with my purchase. I actually bought it for my girlfriend (a serious Potterhead) as a fun gift because she was moving to Wales, and it went down a treat. Would buy from again; would recommend.

Ordered this as a gift for my nephews birthday Very prompt delivery and when I give it to my nephew tomorrow he'll be so pleased and surprised, he is a Harry Potter fan but this will be the first one he had in Welsh He'll treasure this, I'm one happy auntie Thank you

Lovely Welsh edition. This will be read to my daughter until she is old enough to read it herself.

Its great to see this classic of the future being translated into Welsh, disappointing this is the only edition done, would be nice to see the life of Harry in the other books also in Welsh, so many young people believe only boring books come in Welsh and so do not bother to continue to use the language outside of school. My only criticism is that the large majority of character names have changed unnecessarily from the English version when it is obvious that these people were never meant to be Welsh. This goes even further when Norbert the dragon comes in, the name and gender are both changed, why??? I do hope the rest of the series are also translated, as a Welsh language learner I really enjoy practicing by reading books I enjoyed in English
