Review: Great album - Album came in great condition, and good quality. CD works.
Review: Confession - Well this is quite embarrassing. With the very odd exception I only buy albums with female lead singers, often scouring the desertcart recommendations for groups and singers I haven't heard of before, then listening to the 30 second samples before buying. Which is exactly how I stumbled on this gem. Wonderful female vocals I thought. Even after it arrived and I'd listened to it a couple of times I was just wishing they hadn't let some bloke loose on a couple of tracks. Oops. Even now, having realised my mistake while looking for any other music by the band I'm struggling to believe that's a male voice. So, first thing to say - its a male lead singer! But with a frequently female-like voice. You'll need to buy the physical copy of this album, somehow I can't see mp3's doing it full justice, the use of bass throughout the album is extremely well done and underpins the whole sound. The music is difficult to classify, nearest in my collection is probably The Hundred In The Hands or School of Seven Bells. Atmospheric, moody, rolling along with hints - just hints, maybe from the drum work - of the era of Madchester music. With the possible exception of final track "Float" its not music to get you up and bouncing around, its music to get you nodding your head and tapping your toe. Autumnal Sunday morning music. Favourite track for me is the album opener "How" but I suspect that's partly just because it is the first track, it kind of launches you into the sound experience that's coming up. No bad tracks ... unless you're convinced its a female singer and then track 3 ruins it and blatantly has a bloke singing on it! I'm an idiot. I bought this album due to my stupidity. Not asking for a refund though.....

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant album!
*by C***2 on 14 March 2015*

It's a shame that despite the fact this album was released in 2013, I only just discovered The Neighbourhood as I bought this album in March 2015. I first heard The Neighbourhood in an episode of BBC drama Waterloo Road, where their track "Afraid" which is featured on this album, was playing during a scene where the school psycho who had caused a lot of trouble due to being mentally ill returned to the school after spending several months receiving medical treatment, walking to the school building with her fellow school classmates looking on in shock that she was returning. However, back to the music. I decided to look up the track, find the song and the artist, as I had never heard it before. I found out the song title and the artist, the album it was from, so I decided to give The Neighbourhood a listen to on music app Spotify. Best decision I made. Hoping there's also fresh material coming out soon to not only listen to, but hopefully good enough to purchase as well.
