Zefal 45 Half Toe-Clips Christophe City Trekking

These fitted fine onto my MLS Sylvan pedals. I originally had a steel half toe cage but it rusted a little and broke, so these being plastic of course won't have the rust issue although durability is to be seen, they seem strong and sturdy and match my bicycle colour scheme fine. They do touch the ground when hanging freely so I would expect scratches and wear will inevitably occur due to the bottom bracket not being higher and the pedals not shorter than 170 mm. They are aesthetically pleasing and were great value so I can't complain, bought two pairs for two bicycles.

One of the pear purposes I’ve ever made. I used to struggle on hills as I couldn’t stand up on the bike. These clips have completely changed that. I’m able to stand ok and pedal up hills which has been transformational for my riding and my fitness. They are easy to instal and really sturdy but my only complaint is the nuts unscrew from the bolt really easily so a few times I got home and the bolt was gone. So I’ve had to put in screws. Works just as well. Highly recommend despite this. Thank you

The clips had oval holes to enable fitting to most pedals as it’s adjustable. They are sturdy and well made. The large is suitable for a size 11 shoe in terms of depth. For a smaller foot it size 5 and below the smaller size would be better.

Great product if you prefer not to clip in but still have the more stable foot position on the pedal. The only issue I found was when you pull your foot out the pedal swings over and sometimes getting your foot back in can be a fiddle when you try to set off again. Also depending on you crank length the toe clips can be prone to catch8ing the tarmac/floor if your foot isn't in them while riding. The product itself though is well made and sturdy and thewy are simple to install.

I have flat pedals, and as I have been getting better at cycling and increasing my cadence, I sometimes notice that my feet don't stay in the same position in the pedals. I considered going clipless, but I am a bit concerned about such a radical change, so these seemed like a good compromise, and as they are fairly cheap, if I didn't get on with them I wouldn't lose much. They come with screws, washers and nuts, and fitting to my flat pedals was straightforward, I just removed the reflective strip and the screws went in through the now available holes, in all just about five minutes to fit. Riding is better now, as the clips keep my feet in the right place even at high cadence or when the road is rough and jumpy. The only slight issue is getting used to getting the second foot in when starting up, as the additional weight of the clip turns the pedal down, but just a matter of practice I guess. Getting the feet out is the same as not having any attachment to the pedal, so no fear of falling to the side because I didn't manage to unclip!

Worked for me. I am quite new to this stuff and had to find out they screw in to the front of the pedal and do not lay on top of pedal. Seemed wierd but it made sense once installed and makes pedalling feel easier and more efficient. I am size 9 shoe and went for the L/XL clip. I may stick some reflecyive tape on the front as I had to remove reflectors to install these. Definitely worth getting for this price and took 5 mins to install but there are no instructions. Update: Worth noting it can slow you down when going from a standing start as you have to fiddle around getting your foot back in the clip as you move off.

I love these toe clips! I had these on my last bike and they were great so i bought another pair. Ok why do i love them? This is just my opinion. I am not a professional cyclist but i do have a mountain bike and cycle a lot. Road, easy trails some light off road. Ive never fancied the professional pedal clips where your shoe has a fastener that clips onto the "pedal" having seen an accident where someone couldnt get their foot out in time. Also your shoe has a clip underneath so not good for anyone that likes to hop on and off their bike a lot like i do. If you have ridden a bike with just the pedals and no clip at all then i couldnt recommend these enough. They are well made, short so your foot can slip and and out easily, smooth so your shoe doesnt catch and no material straps to bother about. They keep your foot at the correct position on the pedal so it doesnt slip forward while your cycling and keeps the ball of your foot on the pedal in the right location. The only difficulty some may have is that when you take your foot out the clip swings to the underneath so you have to flip the pedal round with your foot before sliding it in but this is something you quickly get used to. Make sure you don't get it too tight. Im a size 9 shoe and use the larger size.

Use the clips on my old spin bike. They are good, really good. I'm not a serious spinner just spin when it suits me. Jeans and t-shirt and whatever shoes or boots that i'm wearing. The clips hold my feet in nicely no slip, never feel my foot may drop out. No messing around adjusting straps for different shoe types. Solid well made in France. Fixings come with the clips, simply screw on and you're away. Wish i had discovered these clips long ago.

I downgraded from clips to these on my daily commuter; clips were overkill IMHO and limits the shoes that one can use. L-XL fit perfectly for my size 10 foot. Quality product from a recognized name in bike accessories. All required hardware supplied, although I may upgrade to lock nuts at some point. Installation requires a slotted screwdriver and 8mm wrench and can be performed by pretty much anyone; just be sure to tighten them up with tools so that they don't fall off while you are riding!

Absolut top Produkt, kunstoff wirkt sehr hochwertig. Montage problemlos. Das einzige was nicht so recht passt sind die unterlegbleche, Schrauben Löcher sind zu eng am Pedal, aber mit etwas Geschick und einer runden schlesselfeile macht man einfach die langlöcher etwas länger, Problem gelöst. Natürlich könnte der Hersteller auch nachbessern aber es ging auch so sehr gut.. Absolut zu empfehlen, und bei 1 Tages Lieferung zum locker, was will man mehr. Achso und wer sagt die Schrauben sind nicht dabei, ich habe zwei bestellt und habe alle benötigten Schrauben dabei gehabt, wollte schon vorsichtshalber zum baumarkt aber den weg konnte ich mir sparen, und zur Not kann man den Verkäufer kontaktieren da wird man sich bestimmt einig.
