Great book Just what I needed.

I was amazed by the quality of teaching materials on DVD inside this book! Together with lesson observations of classes for different ages the author gives explanations of techniques being used, as well as interviews the teachers. Feels like being behind the curtains :) Super useful, thanks!

Although not perfect, quite simply; the single-volume Authority on ELT as it stands (updated edition now due).

It is an awesome way to learn how to practice English grammar in a right way.

Good bible for Celta course

Ho acquistato questo libro in preparazione al concorso per diventare docente di lingua inglese. Nonostante il prezzo piuttosto elevato, ritengo che valga pienamente il costo: è ricco di spunti, approfondimenti e suggerimenti pratici. Naturalmente ho affiancato altre letture, ma questo testo si è rivelato una risorsa centrale, soprattutto per affrontare le metodologie didattiche da applicare alle varie competenze linguistiche richieste. Lo consiglio vivamente a chi sta preparando il concorso o vuole aggiornarsi sul piano didattico.

Useful and thought provokin. A must read if you're a teacher or want to become one.

This book was used for the Bridge iDELT course, instructor out of the U.S., students from all over the world. I am not a teacher and new to ESL, but many in the class had some background in education. The book provides an excellent framework for ESL teachers looking to sharpen their skills. It is a challenging read for those with a non- ESL background. Our teacher supplemented our 12 week course with weekly essays, topics mainly coming from J. Harmer's writings.
