Sharp easy to use good length. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice shears, but with short handles and short blades. *by J***N on 4 July 2016* I bought these because of the brand name, the price (£19.99), free delivery, and the many comments about ‘extra long handles’. The shears are certainly nicely made, and the blades are satisfyingly sharp and cut cleanly. They’re also relatively light in weight. Unfortunately, the handles are a full 6-7cm shorter than my Swedish F...... shears. The handles on my F…… shears are 99cm, but these Wilkinson shears are only 92-93cm. That’s a BIG difference if you’re tall, especially if you’ve got a lot of edging to do. In addition, the F...... blades are a full 3cm longer than the Wilkinson blades. That's 15%. It may not sound like much, but it matters if you have long, straight borders. First of all, the job will involve 15% more snips, 15% more footsteps, and take 15% longer. Secondly, as anyone who has tried maintaining long, straight edges knows, long blades are much better at maintaining a straight line. Short blades wander off course too easily and leave wobbly edges. In summary – these are light, well-made shears that cut cleanly; they're well-suited to women, or anyone else of modest stature, and for those having a garden with small beds and/or short borders.
