Behind Enemy Lines [Blu-ray]

Excellent move! A little bit of cheese to it, but a great movie with some outstanding actors, and some so-so actors written into outstanding roles. Love the Hornet flying scenes!

One of the best war stories ever, in my humble opinion anyway. Watched it twice in a row! Never did that before!

Wonderful story

Looking back after Gene Hackman's passing, this blockbuster film was possibly his last major performance. People say Owen Wilson was miscast, but I think the casting made the right choice. The storyline was supposed to be that Wilson's character is bored and no longer interested in active duty in the Navy. He acted the part of disdain and wacky antics showed his character falling apart attitude. And his sudden ordeal made him appreciate and regain his honor for serving in the Navy in the end. Of course as in any movies, there are plot holes and miscast. The actor who plays the Bosian bad guy is actually Polish actor and the tracker/sniper is played by a Russian actor. My friend who is native speaker of Serb language says the accents are very fake, although the actors did good job.

Been rewatching some of my favorite Gene Hackman films in the past few days~ this is one of them. He brings such gravitas to his roles, it's hard to pick just one or two as standouts. I also love how vulnerable he can come across, as he did in The Firm. Such a versatile actor~ I just love him. ;(

This has been one of my favorite movies for many years, so when I saw that I could buy it on Amazon Prime, I just had to buy it! Also, the great thing about buying movies (and books) from Amazon, is that you can watch them over and over! I still watch movies that I purchased 10-12 years ago, and books that I bought from 20+ years ago, I can watch them on my phone, TV, and my Kindle, well worth the price!
