depends on phone
What I have found is this device only likes certain phones. I am not sure what exactly the difference is because it seems to be on both androids and apples. On my phone these things work perfect, absolutely amazing what can be done with them. Then on other phones, not so much. If the creators can figure this issue out this device would be a great device for most party type installations. I am an LED installer and I have used these to do a wicked party bus lighting project and I have used them in a man cave bar room as well as a couple of vehicle lighting projects. I have only had one customer so far that wants a different controller.

App doesn't work.
App fails to connect to device. Issue is with BT controller and coding in app for device location. App will recognize device name but fails to connect or control lights beyond demo mode. Notice no app reviews in 2023 after android update.
