I tried the Gibraltar to save 100 dollars. It will do the job for sure but when I compared the two, I definitely saw why the Roland is twice the price. Everything is much beefier. The metal, the feet and the mounting knuckle is much more smooth. They both aren't level when the adapter is in the knuckle flat, but when you angle the knuckle anyway you can spin the adapter inside of knuckle to level out your pad. I do think Roland price is a bit to high but I was willing to spend my money on them anyway. No hate for Gibraltar or other alternatives.
